"Junie B. Jones IS Captain Field Day" is #16 in the Junie B. Jones series. This series does not have to be read in order. These little paperback books are great for primary school children who want to read just for fun! They love the stories. The books require some decoding which parents and siblings can help with, but mostly they encourage a child to become an independent reader and to love reading. Comprehension is learned in reading these books as children love to retell "what is happening!"

This book series is a high interest, medium reading level comprehension and great for primary school children. The book catches a child's attention immediately because of the illustration on the front cover. The back cover gives a concise, but good description of what is inside.

I recommend this to any child, parent, family member, friend or teacher who is trying to find a book that will hold a child's attention and be fun while improvimng the child's reading comprehension skills and encouraging the love of reading. "Some" decoding skills are needed if your child is a struggling reader but your task of assisting your child will be less difficult with the Junie B. series.

The books were shipped quickly and were well packaged. I recommend both the seller and the book series.

My daughter and I love reading the Junie B. Jones books. I admit that sometimes the kids books, movies, and cartoons are so boring and almost annoying but these books even keep me entertained while reading them. Junie B. is a little feisty girl with a very unique view on the world. Her mistakenly heard versions of certain words are hilarious! I couldn't help but buy the whole series just to make sure we had plenty of books on hand...mostly for MY entertainment.

All of my kids have loved the Junie B books, they are great for boys and girls. The writing is simple and humerus. Junie is very naughty most of the time but the kids love her and can relate to her. Certainly worth the buy. I bought this book used and it came in good condition as described.

Was a gift for my niece who is just starting to read chapter books. The story is funny, though the grammar could be a bit better. Kids tend to mimic what they hear and see.

Getting young girls to love reading can be challenging until they find a series they can enjoy. This is THAT series and there are many themes to choose from. Captain Field Day might interest your athletic one or is funny enough for those not quite a star athlete. ALL Junie B’s are humorous and a fun read. Enjoy!

My 6 year old and I have been reading these books, Many people criticize for the Grammar but the character is in kindergarten, and there are her wacky and zany stories. My Daughter laughs and can't wait to find out what shenanigans she will get into next!
