While Ito incorporates some of his notable horror style, it isn't a scary manga if you aren't fond of his other work, which I find nice as it's an accessible way of showing non-horror fans his style. The only drawbacks are that it feels too short (especially if you're used to reading his collected volumes like Uzumaki which is HUGE) and there is a bonus comic that hits you hard with sadness when you least expect it.
This is the story of J, A-ko, J's fiancee, and their two cats, Yon and Mu. Yon is a family cat that J. thanks has an accursed face, but he learns to love. Mu is a Norwegian forest cat that likes to gave love bites. A-ko, J's fiancee, is just a loving fiancee, even though she is drawn without pupils, and this gives her a mildly horrific quality. They have relatively banal adventures, which would be completely the world of Facebook cat posts, except that Ito renders every one of J.'s reactions in truly horrific hyperbole. The result is hilarious and highly endearing. My only complaint is that it is too short.
