Global innovation: P.E.P. for espresso of outstanding barista quality
JURA has perfected the complete brewing process for short specialty coffees from 0.5 oz to 2.7 oz. The Aroma G3 grinder, now twice as fast, ensures that the coffee is optimally ground to preserve the full aroma. The variable brewing unit holds 6 to 10 grams of ground coffee and ensures the ideal brewing conditions at all times. The Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.) optimizes the extraction time by pulsing the hot water through the ground coffee at short intervals. This process allows the flavors of the coffee to fully develop. The coffee strength is infinitely variable to suit individual tastes.
Wide range of specialties
The ENA Micro 90 can do much more than ‘just’ make the perfect coffee: thanks to the One-Touch technology, it also creates trend specialties like latte macchiato and cappuccino at the touch of a button with milk and milk foam. It can also prepare a portion of milk foam with equal ease. The advanced fine foam technology creates fine, incredibly light milk foam every time.
The clearly laid out operating module exudes the elegance of simplicity with its subtle, slotted buttons. All settings and program functions can be selected by simply turning and pressing the Rotary Switch.
The ENA Micro 90 packs dazzling functionality into its compact dimensions. It will fit into a small space while cutting an elegant figure with its relaxed, clean lines. The way it leans towards the user expresses expertise, while the colors convey perfect harmony.
The compact one-touch machine from Jura can prepare the full range of specialties, from Latte macchiato, cappuccino and milk foam to coffee, espresso or hot water - at the touch of a button. And with its energy-saving mode It also offers outstanding energy efficiency.

It does not matter if you use the cleaning products as recommended, because after 4 to 6 months of continuous use the machine will present problems due to accumulation of coffee residue in the brewing unit, mainly n the filter screen and also in the drainage valve which is attached to the brewing unit.
Therefore, be ready to send the machine out for a cleaning service (paying ~US$ 100 plus shipping cost if you are able to disassembling and pulling out the brewing unit or $500 plus shipping cost to send the entire machine).
I do possess mechanical technical skills and although I was able to remove the brewing unit without much of a problem (expect about 2 hours at first time and probably 30 min after repeating it for a couple of times), some of the internal parts are extremely delicate (most components are made out of plastic).
You can save yourself some money by disassembling and cleaning the brewing unit and the drainage valve manifold yourself but be ready for some "tough love".
There are several videos out in the internet showing you how to do it but it will take approximately 5 hours to disassembling and another 2 hours to reassembling at the first time. The process will improve over time after you get used to it but it will be a painful learning process.
Be extremely careful not to break any part along the process. I parttally cut some of the plastic latching tabs with a file to make assembling and disassembling easier and prevent from breaking components after repeating the process a couple of times.
Nevertheless if you need any replacement part from Jura, bear in mind they DO NOT sell any internal component. So, if you break something, you will have to buy it from a 3rd party vendor (if you are able to find it), improvise or simple scrap your expensive machine.
I did break one small component (outlet funnel that is attached to the grinder unit) because it is poorly designed and is basically on the way all the time you need to pull the brew unit out and install it back in. Breaking it is just a matter of time.
I called Jura directly and they refused to sell me a replacement. I was able to work around the issue but be aware, although it does extract a great coffee, do not expect any after market assistance from Jura.
I have had this machine for 5 months and have had plently of issues and when i contacted jura was given a lot of attitude by a superviser to the point if i cant fix it ill trash it i had 0 issues with my Breville and will but another one again the self taping and grinding is far easier then the disasibling and or paying to mail it back in just to be able to use the jura .... definently not worth the hassle or the large cost !!!!!
The machine is small. Fits nicely on my counter. I wish it had a bigger water tank and a bigger water tray. I can make 4-5 days of double 1oz espressos before I have to refill the tank and empty the tray. If I make lattes, I can make 2-3 days of 2 lattes/day before I have to refill and empty. That means you are doing it every other day. It is super-clean, it uses a lot of water to flush the milk system every time. To stop the milk from tasting funky, I rinse the milk nozzle assembly every day. I clean the milk system every week.
Yeah, it’s like a ritual, but for me it’s well worth it. I look forward to making my lattes every day!
