Lee Bonorden, Columnist for the Austin Herald "I've known Curt Rude since he was a brash, talkative, Alpha dog of a police captain and I still like him anyway. What's black and white and read all over? Curt Rude's latest book. . . JusThis."
From the Author
Sex and Copping never seem to mix but it doesn't stop 'em. Many a Chief has gotten to feeling entitled and above the law. Then accountability arrives in spades. I should know. . . I spent three decades in law enforcement watching it all unfold. Call me Stunned and Seething.

The story line is interwoven with the chief of police’s denial, self-importance, self-preservation, betrayal, ego and ability to compartmentalize feelings that destroy the lives of those he bound by pledge to protect.
At times you think you know where the story is leading you, but it keeps changing direction right to the very surprise ending. There is a theme involving birds that is interesting, especially as it weaves through the storyline.
JusThis - what a fitting title. I cannot wait to read what Rude writes next.
I have to admit, personally I don't like to read books with so much swearing and sex, but the author had to do character development and there was no other way to paint the picture. I followed the lives of Charlie & Agnes Pullet, and Martin & Lacy McMurphy which lead to a chain of events of corruption and sadness.
The author wrote: 'When a simple truth is revealed that might be construed as threatening, action is quickly taken to silence the voice of truth.' I am not going to give the story away, you will just have to read it and find out for yourself what he means by that. Thank You Curt Rude for a very interesting read.
I would definitely recommend this book.
My husband and I read this book and loved it!!!!!!! Curt is a great story teller and "oh so believable!"
We felt that we knew the characters festering in "normal". We are all for " Jus This" Bravo Curt!
