From the Inside Flap
"And what can I do for you, pretty lady?" he asks with a flirtatious smile. I bend down in front of him just enough so my cleavage pops to the top of my sweater, and his eyes follow down to the girls, just like I knew they would.
"Well, Mr. Weston, I was hoping you could give me my first genuine fangirl experience. But since I'm a virgin to it all, I'm not sure where to start."
His eyes meet mine and shine mischievously. "Is that so?"
"Mmhm, it is." I step around to the side of his table and half sit on the edge, bringing my booted foot up to his thigh. Noah wraps his hand around the back of my leg and stands up, pulling me from the table with him. His hand drops to my backside while his other hand wraps around my waist and pulls me close.
"I'm a lucky SOB to be the one to pop your fangirl cherry, Mel," he whispers in my ear.
The next thing I know, his hands are weaving through my hair and his mouth is pressed against mine. I open to him and kiss him back as if we're the only two people in the room. But when I begin to hear angry growls coming from the crowd, I know our time is about up.
"Hey!" the girl with the shrill voice screams out. "That wasn't an option! I want to do that, too!"
With her words, I begin to laugh in Noah's mouth, and he pulls back laughing, too. His forehead is against mine; our hearts sound like drums they're beating so loud. "You are the best girlfriend ever. Keep those boots on. I want them wrapped around my neck tonight."

Dee cannot be trusted ;) LOL with this being Book 1, you know there's more to come. So yes, there's a bit of a cliffy. Ok - more like "drive your car off a cliff" - cliffy. BUT! Just put your big girl panties on and dive in. You won't be disappointed.
It may seem cliche... girl goes on tour with rock band... right? Wrong. There's twists and turns that leave you breathless and wondering what's wrong with your head that you kind of love it all.
The last couple books from Dee were good but something was missing and this is exactly what was missing. Here we get to see take us back to *why* we fell in love with her writing. We get to see the character development that is hard to get in a stand alone. We get to see the ups and downs and all the "extra" that makes getting lost in a good book worth it.
It's a bit of a triangle but it's not your typical triangle. Nothing is typical in this book. Everything you think you know - you don't.
You'll fall in love with Noah and Sawyer. And you'll wish you had your very own Belle. You'll find compassion for Mel. Maybe you'll want to kick some ass too! Other than Dee's that is :)
Dee Kelly has created another attention-grabbing series that goes right to your heart. This story is set in the world of rock and roll and features 4 very close-knit members of a band hitting the road one last time together. At 28, these rockers feel they've done it all, hit the highs, enjoyed many successes and now want to focus on new chapters in their lives. Enter 2 best friends who add to the mix and you know things are going to get interesting, FAST. The first, a journalist who is a fangirl, and the 2nd, a new author with her own musical background.
The lead female character, Amelia, is given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to chronicle the last tour of the band, BAD (Bastards and Dangerous), by going on the road with them. While this would seem to be a no-brainer, due to her history, she has serious reservations about accompanying them but ultimately decides to face her fears and hit the road with them. They quickly form friendships but not all is smooth sailing. The lead male characters, fraternal twins, Noah and Sawyer, not only shared a womb but they also tend to be attracted to the same females. They have bad track record that has tested their brotherly bond before and it appears history may just repeat itself.
The story unfolds with the romantic, caring and generous, Noah, making his intentions quite clear and tearing at the wall, Amelia, has built around her heart. Not to be outdone, the brooding, sultry and seductive, Sawyer, lets Amelia know he's interested too. Amelia has no desire to come between the brothers and must walk a careful line while also spending time with each band member to write a tell-all at the end of the tour.
Of course no triangle would be complete without interference from outside sources which only serves to ratchet up the tension.
I thoroughly enjoyed the primary and secondary characters and see many opportunities to showcase the other band members in subsequent books. Before that can happen, "Just an Illusion, Side B" is going to need to answer several key questions that are left unanswered at the end of Side A.
Kudos to Dee for turning the volume up high and blowing the speakers off with this one.
I highly recommend this book.
The story revolves around incredibly sweet and all around good guy Noah, his brooding and mysterious bad boy brother, Sawyer, and Amelia (Mel), the woman both brothers want as their own. Some readers may have issues with love triangles, but this one for me, really worked. I liked that all 3 main characters aren't perfect and have their own demons and baggage to deal with. Noah probably came the closest to saint hood with all his swoony moments and philanthropic heart, but it didn't feel contrived and only made him more adorable. I hurt for Sawyer and everything in his past that's tormenting him, and savored the gentle and vulnerable moments where he showed his true self. I felt just as torn and confused as Mel, sorting through the emotions and wrestling with the pain and fear of ever driving these 2 brothers apart. I can't say for certain who I'm shipping at this point, since I think both guys have qualities and traits that I think Mel needs. If I really had to choose though after only reading this book, then I would say Team Noah. :)
I found the secondary characters in this book just as fun and amazing. Belle was a little too bubbly at times, but it's what makes her friendship with Mel work. They balance each other and they both stand by and support each other above all else. Throw hilarious Anna into the mix and that's definitely squad goals. I loved the entire Weston family (especially little Saylor) and of course, the other members of BAD, Wyatt and Darren. Everyone genuinely cares for each other and I loved how absolutely normal the family was despite the fame and success of the boys. There were perfect moments of comic relief (oh, Rhymin' Rieanne I could have read a whole chapter about you!) and just enough drama and angst to keep the reader guessing.
This is the first book I have read from D. Kelly, but I thought her writing was perfect. She wrote some seriously swoony moments and the song Just an Illusion had my heart breaking. The snippets from the present, weaving together with the past, left me wanting more and hello, that ending (even though I knew it was coming) just killed me in the best way. This book was just what I was looking for and I cannot wait for the next book! Is it 2017 yet?!

If you like rock stars then this is the book for you..
I loved the characters, Dee made it so easy for the reader to fall in love with them, and boy did I fall in love with them.
Amelia is a author & is literally dragged out by her best friend belle to see the famous rock band BAD, belle is a journalist & has been sent to interview them for the magazine that she works for.
As soon as Amelia meets them you can see the fireworks bouncing off her & sawyer, but it soon becomes clear that sawyers twin brother wants her for himself.
Is hard to write any more without putting spoilers in & I really don't want to spoil it for you, I will say it's a book that's not to be missed
Dee had my full attention from the first page, I honestly couldn't put the book down, I will say tho that has hell of a cliff hanger so be warned, it's definately a OMG moment & will make you hate Dee just a little bit
Every single one of the characters in this book felt real to me. I could picture their stories going along independently of the books plot, when they would intersect again with the main protaganists. I love it when characters are fully rounded like that. Though I do sometimes get frustrated and want them to have their own books too.
One of the main things I loved about this book is that the main love interest in this story feels real. It isn't a thing independent of the rest of the world. It is a relationship that isn't perfect, that slowly grows and gains depth through talking through issues, not only with each other but also with their loved ones. It is a relationship set within a community/family, which is how real life relationships work. Nothing that is separate from everything else that we love can possibly work long term and this book shows that.
I never wanted this book to end and I can't wait for the next one in the series, because my heart hurts with the cliff hanger that we were left on!
Omg!!!! I really can't put into words how much I loved this book. D Kelly has completely knocked it out of the park with this one, a fabulous story line and fantastic characters will have you totally gripped until the very end.
Amelia Greyson is a romance author and after going along with her best friend Belle to a concert to interview hot rockers BAD she meets Noah and Sawyer Weston she has no idea the impact they are about to have on her life.
Noah and Sawyer Weston are the hot rocker brothers of the band and have both fallen for the same girl before and it nearly ruined their relationship forever, but what happens when they find themselves in the same situation again? Which one will Amelia choose?
I'm a sucker for a romance but sometimes they are so predictable but not with this one I generally didn't know which man was for her how it was going to end although it hasn't ended so I'm off to get the next book.
