I LOVE this product. It does taste the most like sugar and, due to the inulin, it is healthy, too, especially for diabetics. It was recommended to me by a doctor of pharmacology who now helps people get off prescription drug (all dangerous) and into a healthy lifestyle. I now recommend it to anyone who will listen. So many people have never heard of Just Like Sugar and that's unfortunate. Compared to other zero-calorie sweeteners, this one if by far the best in every way. The most dangerous is aspartame. Stay away from that one entirely. It will destroy your nervous system/brain.

I am a consumer of the product, not paid in any way. I just love this product.

I have been using just like sugar for several years to replace granulated sugar in coffee and cereal. It took a bit of time to adjust to the fact the just like sugar product wasn't as sweet as other sugar replacements. My taste buds did make the change without much difficulty. I gave it a rating of "3" because I discovered that the product was causing way too much stomach gas. I still use it but usually only in one cup of coffee. Not sure which ingredient is the culprit but I definitely don't like the result. Everyone is different so what may not work well for one may be just great for someone else.

This is the second time I have purchased this item. It is as the name suggests, "Just Like Sugar". It sweetens cooked foods (I used it in fudge), as well as liquids (I routinely use it in my coffee). It dissolves readily. Though some people mention that it has an aftertaste, neither I nor anyone I know that has tried it (including some people with quite acute sense of taste) has noticed this. I will gladly purchase this again after I finish this bag.

I have been using Just Like Sugar for three years now, and it was my favorite sugar substitute up until this last order from this supplier (New Beginnings CT). This batch has an awful, bitter aftertaste that I have never experienced with past purchases. Either JLS has changed their manufacturing practices and ruined the product or this was an old rancid bag, I don't know which. I doubt I will ever buy this product again. It is a lot of money for a horrible tasting sweetener.

If you're looking for a more natural, zero calorie sugar substitute - look no further. The taste and texture are just like sugar without the detrimental effects of eating processed sugar.
There is some adjustment required in recipes - not a straight one to one substitution, but that just gives you the oppotunity to taste and adjust the sweetness in your favorite recipes.
Just Like Sugar is made from chicory, so it doesn't disturb the digestion the way that xylitol can.

I usually like to sweeten my tea with something other than sugar or honey or agave (they each add their own flavor to the teas) and I usually use a brand of stevia. However, after doing a lot of research I came across this product and it was highly recommended over stevia in many blogs. After using it this morning, I found it actually doesn’t have much of a flavor nor does it sweeten as much as I had hoped. I will try again tonight and just add more and see if that makes a difference. As a side note: I did notice it bubbles a little bit when introduced to the tea and it did not quite dissolve completely.

I loved the idea of this natural sweetner but I noticed when using it that whatever I was eating didn't seem particularly sweet but instead had a sweet after-taste -- moreso than even the "during-taste". Then I realized that it leaves my tongue tricked into sensing sweet for quite a while after I had finished eating it so that whatever I ate or drank after I finished the produce with Just Like Sugar would have a weird sweetness. I tried it in hot tea as well as baking with this and discovered that it happened after both items. Thinking it was just me, I had my boyfriend eat one of my baked goods with it in there and then drinking a glass of water. He experienced the same thing I did -- the plain water tasted sweetened. Not cool Throwing this stuff out.

I use it daily as Cinnamon Sugar mix for Sorghum LGF Bread, I use it in all my sweet baking, and my family cannot live without it. It’s taste is wonderfully neutral, no aftertaste whatsoever and the added prebiotic fiber is a win win! We need regular supply! Sugar industry is attempting to squeeze this product off the market BECAUSE it is the absolute best sugar replacement-period. Buy it when and where you can folks!
