Jagger doesn't do relationships and definitely it's the last thing he's looking for. Besides Jagger not doing relationships, Mali isn't his type. Mali on the other hand is a good girl until she decides to let loose. Her proposition to Jagger is something they both think they can walk away from, but we all know that love is inevitable.
I always tend to enjoy books that are written in dual POV's so this was a plus. I loved the secondary characters, especially Jagger's father who helped Jagger see things clearer.
Overall, Just One Summer was a sweet light read and the only downfall was that I wish there was more. I'd definitely love if A.D. Justice gave us more of Jagger and Mali. Probably more of Jagger to be honest!
"They say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. I say sometimes what you had was nothing you were looking for, but everything you need, only you don’t realize it until it’s gone." - Jagger
This book is the perfect escape if you are looking for a short good read! It captured my attention from the first page. Heartbreaker Jagger and good girl Mali embark on a proposition, which for once was the heroine's idea!
Jagger isn't looking for love, or attachment. All he wants is to sing in his band and work his way through all of those screaming female fans who are more than willing to throw themselves at him.
Mali is working toward her life long goal. She just wants a chance to let go of her good girl image for one summer.
I could keep going and tell you what happens next, but I won't ruin it for you.
If you are looking for an amazingly written quick read.... DO NOT pass up this book!
I love Jagger and Mali. I hope to get to read more about their story in the future!
She ends up hearing something said, hurts her, even though not meant as is, this is a must read, will love it❤️.
Jagger is the lead singer of a band named after himself which at first you think makes him just so full of himself. Sexy, gorgous, great voice and has all the ladies drooling over him with no urge for anything serious with any of them.Until....
Mali oh what a girl sexy gorgous shy and a spitfire for sure. She is on her summer break before she goes back to training to get into the olympic swim team. The second she sees Jagger she is hooked but she so tries to steer clear and play it cool, knowing his past she comes up with a scheme to benefit them both but what happens in the end nobody not his friends him or her would have ever expected.
Its really a great love story other than Mali running off every 5 seconds haha something I can totally relate to and would probably still do lol.
A.D Justice is an amazing author now I knew this before because I have read a few of her other novels. Which were equally amazing.
Anybody that likes a good raunchy romance this is a must read.
“You want me to teach you how to be the female version of me?”
"Just One Summer" It's a short but enjoyable read.
I read it in one sitting and really made me have a good time. Jagger and Mali have good chemistry and their "agreement" is too perfect to last only one summer.
Jagger is a guy that all girls want to catch but no one can have... Mali has lived all his life without actually live it completely, but what happens when the "agreement" feels more real than ever?
“Two more things, actually,” he whispers as his arms circle my waist. “One, you have to trust me. I’d never physically hurt you.” “And two?” I ask on bated breath. “Two,” he lowers his lips to mine. “I can kiss these lips whenever I want.”
I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic of this couple, they took their time but it was worth waiting for both to accept their true feelings. I also loved the secondary characters, I think it was a great complement to the whole story.
Although it ended too quickly for me, I can say that Jagger and Mali have a nice story and flows very easily. A.D. Justice did it again!
