Our story

How we got our start?

Hi, I’m Sylvie! As a doctor and mom, I wanted to find a sweetener that I trusted for my family and patients. So I made one out of perfect, wholesome dates. And nothing else. It was a win-win. My patients loved the flavor, I loved the nutrition and now I get to bring it to your family’s kitchen.

What makes our product unique?

Our sweeteners stand above other sugar alternatives. As a doctor, it is deeply important to me that our syrups are nutrition powerhouses: they are naturally loaded with antioxidants, nutrients like potassium, and are clinically proven to be low glycemic index, meaning they don’t spike blood sugar.

Why we love what we do?

While practicing medicine, I felt frustrated by the rise in chronic illness that was rooted in the food we eat. I wanted to get into my patients’ kitchens and affect change from the inside out. Now, our delicious products play a role in improving long term health, in an unbelievably delicious way!

This is soooooo delicious but you have to use a lot to get good sweetness. Needs to be more concentrated or something. Literally use one bottle to sweeten 4 cups of coffee.

I purchased this to try in a few recipes that call for brown sugar or honey. Korean Baked Gochujang Chicken Wings was the first recipe I tried this date syrup with, instead of 3 tablespoons of honey, I used one tablespoon of this syrup. It was perfect the wings turned out DELICIOUS. I've also used a bit of this in my evening tea and it was perfect. I'm hooked on this Date Syrup. Pure, simple, delicious and healthier than sugar. Happy Camper!!!

So much better than sugar, honey and blue agave nectar

Many report this syrup is great on cereal, etc in place of regular sugar or honey. And everybody knows this type of sweetener is so much better for your body than reagular sugar or honey and, of course, any artificial sweetener. I agree whole heartily but it is also a great substitute for Blue Agave Nectar in a margarita. This syrup has a distinctive but mild flavor that blends so well with almost anything. There is still a proper place for black strap molasses. As for the margaritas, trash your cheap tequila and triple sec and go with cuantro, fresh squeezed limes and date syrup.

I learned about date syrup in Israel. It’s a low glycemic delicious substitute for honey or molasses. It gives Mediterranean dishes a complex taste. It’s also great on yogurt.

This now replaces honey and syrup as my go to sweetener. Has a subtle sweet flavor, not overpowering at all. Tastes fantastic. Things I've used it for so far:
- latte sweetener
- homemade applesauce
- honey replacement in asian dressing
- on oatmeal
- marinades

I have not used this to bake with

Initially I thought this might have a distinctive date flavor, but when added to food and drink you don't taste that at all. it's just a nice subtle neutral sweet flavor.

I read about this product in a WSJ article, and decided to give it a try. I am very pleased and surprised how flavorful this product is! So far, I've used it on oatmeal, pancakes and french toast. I've also tried as a sweetener in tea. I haven't bakes anything yet with it, but need to research the date syrup/cane sugar equivalency.

This stuff is great! I use it on my baked salmon that I eat every day for lunch, in lieu of syrup, for my Maple Mayo Salmon recipe. However, I tried marinating the salmon in the date syrup before baking it and something weird happened... some sort of chemical reaction in the oven. There were huge 3D blobs of bubbling burnt stuff that migrated far away from the salmon on the cookie sheet. Don’t use this as a marinade before baking!
