AND JUSTICE FOR ALL itself is a 4 star film.
I gave a 3 Star rating because this is the worst quality Blu-ray I've ever seen. The transfer is horrible. It looks like you're watching a VHS tape.
It's grainy, out of focus in areas. Don't bother with the Blu-ray, I'm sure the DVD looks just as good (as bad).
And the extras? "Deleted scenes"?
There's ONE deleted scene, and its dark.
The only other extra is the original trailer.
The Blu-ray and extras get 1 Star.
The movie itself I've always felt (compared to say, DOG DAY AFTERNOON) is a solid 4 Stars.
I settled on 3 Stars overall.
In summation, the movie itself is great (Pacino's character gives one hell of an opening argument at the end of the film!!), but there's no reason to buy this on Blu-ray, and the "extras" are he worst excuse for extras I've ever seen.
The movie intentionally takes a somewhat funny tone with very serious issues. It does not lay on the heavy drama. It is really making a point about the judicial system and the foibles therein. It takes jabs at the criminals, those falsely accused / convicted, judges, lawyers and those investigating lawyers.
I only gave it 3, but it's lose to a 4. Pacino is at the top of his game once again
