It’s a fast-paced, deeply involving read that weaves you further into the O’Connell family dynamic. As the extended O’Connell family continues to grow, it looks like there may be another unexpected addition. Only time, and the next story, will tell what’s brewing for the O’Connell family. We may finally learn what’s been missing in “The Family Secret.” This has been an exciting and often heart-pounding series, and I know I can’t wait for what’s to come.
This time, Marcus, the sheriff, is struggling with the secret that could affect his re-election and maybe even the adoption of Eva, a child he and his wife Charlotte , have been trying to make theirs.
Will the secret be revealed and destroyed everything he has worked for?
As with most of the author’s stories, the family dynamics are center stage as is the desire to protect those they love.
A good addition to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Meanwhile. Marcus and Charlotte’s adoption of Eva, the little girl they’re fostering and have fallen in love with, seems to be being purposely stalled. So Marcus visits Eva’s mother in prison to find out why. She’s heard of what’s going on in Marcus’ life and is concerned. Can a visit from Eva’s grandfather ease her worries or make them worse?
Furthermore, we get more hints at what happened to the patriarch of the family, who disappeared without a trace many years ago.
It is a nice, entertaining story and a great addition to the series that I loved reading.
