About the Author
Although I have never met him, my father's cousin, the late, great author, John Updike, was my first real hero. But in my preteen years I was introduced to Stan Lee and the universe of Marvel comics then later Shonen Jump and the world of Japanese manga. The mythology of superheroes seduced me and won my heart. Sometimes the writing left something to be desired, however the adventures, the beauty, strength and abilities of its characters captivated me completely. I was hooked and still am...not sure if that will be construed as a pro or a con. When asked recently to articulate my main philosophy of life I quoted Jodorowsky (upon receiving a half filled glass of water)- "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem."
