Product Description

The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their father´s death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justin´s patented J-Flex® Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the ¨Standard Of The West Since 1879¨.

Should have listened to the critics these boot run big. I ordered these along with some Tony Lamas for ranch work. Justin's run a good 1/2 size large. I bought EE might of been better without the extra width as well as they are wider then the TL's EE. These Justin boots are just ok, cheaper then my TL's so I guess the leather being thinner should not be a surprise. Not as much support as a higher end boots. Would be good for street wear or out on the town, but not really made to hold up to ranch style outdoor type work that I was hoping for. The boot details and finish was better then my TL's and overall and they are comfy and good looking. I will step up to a better boot and buy a 1/2 size down and loose the EE if I go with Justin next time.

For me this is not an every day shoe, but it's very comfortable in the winter. Warning, there is a break in period. Once broken in they are comfortable as any slip on, and they clean up nicely if you walk through puddles or mud. These will keep your feet dry, and look good long term. They are easily ten year boots.

We wish these were not so wide! I ordered the boots in an E only to realize it was a double ee when they arrived- mea culpa. The boots are lovely and well made. I ordered the brown and my husband was iffy about the stitching, but they were so comfortable he was okay with it, but they were too wide. Those were returned, so my mom ordered the black. The stitching is multi colored and that is not my husbands thing. He loves the boots, but can't get past the coloring. Even though that will be covered by pants, I don't think he will let it go. All of that aside- they are nice looking boots! Good job Justin!

To start off with, the leather looks cheap; almost like pleather. There is this horrible white stitching that goes around the bottom of the boot which i am not a fan of, but the way I figure it, that will dirty up soon and will not be noticeable. Although the description of the boot clearly says black, from looking at this picture I thought it would be a dark brown. It's not. My bad. The stitching on the boot itself is very, very vibrant, and imho a little gaudy, its red and green. There will be very few times when that section is actually visible, so i can deal with it.

I have the same style boots in another color (Crazy Tan Gaucho) and I absolutely love them. I just find the colors and leather a little tacky.

UPDATE: The "leather" is flaking off, I think it's just a plastic coating. This is happening on both pairs of boots. disgusting.

Awesome boot and looks really good too. I ordered this as a hiking boot and it more than stands up to the rugged terrain I traverse but it looks good enough to dust off and wear out on the town. Took a while to break in and the loops on top of the boot were rubbing my calves raw so I removed the loops and put some felt over the inseam which alleviated any further discomfort.

Nice looking boots but the instep is way way way too tight for my thick feet and ankles. No real observations about fit or the quality because I returned them. If they fit were OK, I would have kept them.

So I was a little hesitant on ordering a boot online, but for the price at the time, I thought it would not have been a bad deal. The boot is a little smaller then expected and it tends to rub the inner part of my calf. The quality of the leather is not what I thought it would be and the sole is not breathable material. I purchased these boots based on the 14 year old pair of Justin boots that I have and currently still wear. The quality is way different from the pair I have had vs this pair.

I love the boots andt he fit is excellent. Good quality overall, but the way the leather is cut and sealed with the two strips that make up the finger pulls, it chafed the inside of my calf till it bled. Still trying to figure out how to fix this. Band-Aid works to protect my leg, but the boot shouldn't do this. (I have four pairs of ropers, all Justin, but they don't have finger pulls that chafe so it isn't a problem. Maybe I'll cut them off...)
