Handle Flammable Liquids Safely
Vented design provides smooth, glug-free liquid flow
Go beyond protection and compliance with the added convenience of AccuFlow with Safe-Squeeze trigger for safe and controlled pouring.
Justrite's patented manifold and proportional flow-control Safe-Squeeze trigger provides you with means to regulate the flow rate when handling flammable liquids. Fill port with ergonomic lift lever makes filling easy. Flexible 9-inch (229-mm) long metal hose spout helps control the pour into small openings.
Made from high-grade coated steel, each can is pressure tested to ensure quality. The tough powder-coat finish resists chemicals and stands up to demand of rigorous use. Stainless steel flame arrester—equipped in all Justrite safety cans—dissipates heat to stop flashback ignition. Sealed lid features automatic positive‑pressure relief that vents between 3 and 5 psig (o.2 and 0.35 bar) to protect against explosion. Large label ID zone provides writing space to identity contents, department location or individual user name.
Certified by FM, Ul/ULC, and TÜV, safety can also meets OSHA and NFPA requirements, and come with a ten-year warranty.

We had been using the plastic containers, which made the car stink for days. I also hated to have to unscrew the nozzle, turn it around (getting gas on my hands) and try to get the nozzle in the lawnmower tank without spilling anything. This requires you squeeze a handle before the gas is released, the same idea as a gas pump, so nothing spills. It also feels much safer than the plastic tanks.
The only downside of these versus the plastic is the weight. They do weigh considerably more. Once I add 5 gallons of gas they get heavy. That is why I got this 1" nozzle version as it takes less time before the gas is transferred.
I am very happy with these cans. My neighborhood is geeky enough that I have had some neighbors stop by to see our new cans. Every guy has said that their wife wants the same as they also are a little freaked by the safety issues of the plastic cans.

I was a little concerned about the complaints of leakage through the steel flex-hose spout, but our first can hasn't had that problem at all. The spout attaches to the can via two machine screws, and there's an included cork gasket to use at the connection point; but I used a little Permatex Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant in addition to the cork gasket. As I understand it, the complaints about leakage concern gas coming through the walls of the flex hose itself and not at the flange, but I figured a little Permatex wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.
The operation of the can is simple. The can stays in a sealed state until you get it positioned where you want it and then squeeze the valve control handle. With a little practice, you can easily slow the flow when you're getting close to a full tank by easing your grip on the valve control a little. When you want to stop the flow of fuel, you simply release the valve handle.Read more ›
(They actually went above and beyond!)
I'm very happy.
No leaks or un raveling parts as mentioned in the other reviews I read. Tight and well made.
Ill buy more of these gas tanks in the future, they are definitely worth the price! Try it once you'll never go back to those cheap get what you pay for stinky plastic gas cans.

It's a bit expensive but it will outlast a dozen of the cheap plastic cans. Good heavy material and sturdy construction. This is what a gas can should be.Published 4 days ago by Jeff Ritter
Bought 2 Justrite cans and other than being a bit hard to fill at the gas station (lever is hard to pull back and gets in the way of filling) I would still recommend them.Published 12 days ago by Tool Lover
