A Heated & Comfortable TS Is Important

We live in the NW and when we built our home we purchased/installed a Kohler “San Raphael®” toilet which came with a heated French curve toilet seat. It was our first experience with a heated TS and we have enjoyed it for years. After 15 years of usage we needed a replacement and to our dismay they discontinued the Kohler French Curve TS K-4649. We wish Kohler would bring it back. This PureWarmed Heated Toilet Seat is alright but it is not as comfortable as our original one that we had. It does have nice additional features, for example the quiet-close lid and the LED nightlight but if you were to rate comfort this one is rated in our opinion only a 3+ in comparison to our original TS . Overall, this was an average TS heated but it is not bad. Kohler: please bring the K-4649 (French curve) back.

The cover of the toilet seat is rather flimsy. I often sit on the closed toilet seat when I undress, or put on socks, etc., and the seat cover flexes. This cover should be more substantial. I no longer sit on it as I fear it will crack. Kohler needs to beef up the cover. But the warm toilet seat and night light are great.

Super easy to install. The first one I had my neighbor install because i didn't think I could but I had to get a replacement. When it came I was like he's gone and I want it on now and boom I did it by myself and pretty quick as well! I cracked up laughing when I first seen the price of the toilet seat but then I decided to go do some research on a heated toilet and pain relief popped up. I instantly came back and bought it. I could and should have bought it flat out but the thought of paying that in one payment for a toilet seat still didn't sit well so I opted for the payments to make myself feel better. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️But on a serious note I battle arthritis in three places in my back and sometimes pain runs down into my butt and that heat on bad days is awesome! The downside is you may get stuck on the toilet a tad bit longer then usual because it's genuinely super comfy do to the heat and it puts out the right amount so you'll never have to work about being burned or having a hot booty🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hate going out sitting on toilets as it is but now I really hate it! I ABSOLUTELY love this thing and wish I knew about them sooner!

Ordered this for an elderly relative. She loves it! There's a light adjustable for color and brightness. It also has three heat settings. The relative says the highest is a bit too warm, and the middle is a little cool but she finds the medium works best. I really like the app, too. It has a light/heat timer so both can be programmed for daytime/nighttime use.

Check the length of the power cord to make sure it reaches! In our case, the power outlet was just above the right side of the toilet tank, and the power cord had plenty of length.

I bought two of these when they went on sale. Got the elongated ones since they were cheaper even though our toilets are round. We will eventually upgrade the toilets to elongated anyway and it doesn't look too bad the way it is. Installation is almost as easy as replacing a regular toilet seat. The app is neat but to be honest, once you set it it's pretty much forget it. I like that it retains its settings even after a power outage so no surprise cold toilet seats. We have a brondell in another toilet (which was more expensive) and if the power cuts out, it just stays off until you manually turn it back on.
