Combining a visually entrancing design with innovative functionality, the KOHLER K-6227-C11 Karbon Deck-Mount Kitchen Faucet features five pivoting points that let you quickly and easily place the faucet exactly where you want it. The Karbon Faucet adjusts to a precise height, orientation, or water flow direction. View larger.
Innovative engineering allows the KOHLER Karbon Faucet to move into virtually any position inside or outside of your sink. With a faucet reach that ranges from less than two inches to over 13 inches and an adjustable height of up to 18 inches that allows you to fill the tallest vase or reach down into the bottom of the sink, the KOHLER Karbon Faucet can also be folded into a compact position when not in use.
Orient the Faucet to Suit the Task at Hand
Depending on the task at hand, you can adjust the KOHLER Karbon Faucet to a precise height, orientation, or water flow direction. Sculpt the faucet so that the water is exactly where you want it for filling pots, cleaning dishes, watering plants, washing your hands, and more.
Remote Joystick Valve Allows for Precise Adjustment
A sleek, remote joystick provides a complementary look and maintains a low profile that contributes to the visually stunning look of the KOHLER Karbon Faucet. As easy to use with your wrist as it is with your hands, the joystick valve provides precise temperature and flow control. It can be mounted to the left or right of the faucet.
Switch Between Flow Options with the Touch of a Button
The KOHLER Karbon Faucet features an integral spray head that offers both spray and aerated water flow functions, eliminating the need for a side spray. Simply touch the button on the nozzle head to switch between the two flow options.
Contemporary Styling and Durable Construction
Constructed with traditional brass and innovative carbon fiber composite tubing, the KOHLER Karbon Faucet is as much a piece of art as it is the next generation in faucet technology. The lightweight carbon fiber provides added strength, and the five pivoting joints allow for smooth and easy movement while securely holding their position once in place.
The KOHLER finish resists corrosion and tarnishing, and the ceramic disk valves exceed industry longevity standards by over two times, ensuring extended use.
Installation and Technical Details
Installation is fast and easy with flexible connections and installation rings, but note that the joystick valve requires non-standard holes of two inches in diameter. The KOHLER Karbon Faucet has a maximum flow rate of 2.2 gallons (8.3 liters) per minute with a low-flow aerator option available.

My suggestions to Kohler: move the spray button to the side of one of the last joint/hinge, make it possible to reset it without turning the water off, and add an aerator. These changes won't affect its stunning looks significantly and would really make it much more pleasurable to use.
I'm able to put the end directly over the drain, or wherever I wish, in order to reduce splashing and spraying. In the box are the two plastic tools for adjusting the tension and removing the faucet aerator. Do not lose them or throw them away. My plumber was adamant about this. I put the pieces in a sandwich bag, and have it labeled in my catch all drawer. My plumber stated no plumbing company has the tools to make adjustments on these, and you must contact Kohler if you don't have the pieces.
My plumber also stated because of all the moving parts, these faucets can begin to leak after about 2 years. He said to contact Kohler first, before calling a plumber. They stand behind their products and have been known to ship brand new faucets to customers.
I find the water flow adequate, and have no issues. The spray mode works excellent to clear debris out of the sink.
I've now had it installed for a week and and underwhelmed. The flow restrictor which was supposed to limit to 1.8 gpm actually clipped me at 1.2 gpm. Kohler was no help at all. They offered an $80 upgrade to a different aerator, but wouldn't replace the one I have with one that worked. They even claimed I wasn't covered by ANY warrantee because I bought through an Amazon reseller, not Amazon itself which is total BS.
The best thing I did was remove the flow restrictor myself. I went in with a small drill bit to drill out anything that was inside and happily the little bugger just popped out. My flow immediately jumped to 2.5 gpm which is totally acceptable.
The bottom controlling the spray type is equally underwhelming. If it starts out a steady stream you can switch to spray with the push of a button but need to turn the water off an back on again to switch back... and sometimes you need to fiddle with it to get it to respond. Not what I expect from a faucet that retails for over $1,300.
Bottom line, Meh. It works if you take matters into your own hands but is no better than a faucet you can buy for a fraction of the price.
