They were comfortable to run in but not as cushioned a feel when running as the aforementioned veronas. I tend to heel strike and am a bigger runner (6'3" 210) so I thought I would notice an effect from the tubes just having them in the heel (hence why the 50's vs. the 100's). There wasn't one, that I perceived at least, but again running in them is very comfortable so I think they are providing some benefit. I tend to go 2-3 miles at a time and the legs, knees, and back feel good when I am done running in these. I have used Nike Shox's in the past and Reebok Zigs as well and haven't felt them at work either. The tubes themselves are very stiff and unweilding to the touch very much like the shox's and zig's. Feel wise I would buy them ahead of the zigs and they would be a toss up with the shox's. In both those shoes the soles outlasted the uppers and inserts and I think these tubes will as well. Overall a good shoe that I like running in, which to me is a good thing. Nothing paticularly magical about them due to the tubes, but I would buy another pair in the future.
Since making the above complain, I found out that it's the insert, not the shoe itself, that squeaks. Just replace the insert with another insert and (for me at least) the squeaking stops.

I bought this pair of shoes for my 12-year-old son, whose shoe size is 7 to 7.5. It's hard to find anything similar at stores below $40. This pair fits his need perfectly.Published on June 18, 2013 by Jane
