About KC Hart
KC lives in Mississippi with her husband of thirty-plus years. She loves to write, read, play piano and guitar, and play with her grandkids.
KC's love of storytelling was nurtured by her large family growing up. She spent a lot of afternoons sitting on the front porch singing while her dad played the guitar. She did a lot of listening and laughing at the tall tales shared by her mother, brothers, or any neighbor who happened to stop by. She is number six of seven kids and admits her older brothers spoiled her rotten.
KC has always had a huge imagination and a love of humor. In her fifties, she finally developed the courage to put these traits in print and fling them to the world.
KC is the author of The Katy Cross Cozy Mystery Series. All the books are clean who-done-its with a Christian worldview and southern, small-town charm.

Someone in Skeeterville has a serious beef with Hernando and it’s up to Katy to figure out who...
Sixty-thousand-dollar stud bull Hernando is shot in his pasture and falls on one of his owners, crushing him to death. Katy Cross, along with everyone else in Skeeterville, assumes the shooting (and deadly cow-tipping) are nothing more sinister than a tragic accident and a case of terrible luck.
Everyone else in Skeeterville, that is, except local Post Mistress Barbara Jean Nelson, who makes it her business to let everyone know she suspects foul play. Barbara Jean’s reputation as a hateful gossip proceeds her, however, and no one takes her accusations seriously... until she is attacked at the post office, barely escaping with her life.
With one of Hernando’s owners in the grave, and the only person who suspected foul play in the hospital, Katy decides it’s time to take the bull by the horns. Can she find the true murderer and uncover their connection to the dead cash cow?

Or will another one of SKeeterville's citizens be taken home to glory?

Katy is determined to stay out of the investigation-her hands are full planning her daughter's Valentine's Day season bridal shower. But when her future son-in-law's mother becomes the main suspect, Katy has no choice but to get involved.
As some of Skeeterville's deepest secrets come to light, it becomes obvious that no one will be crying at Jack Redd's funeral. Can Katy clear the name of an innocent woman by solving the murder of the man everyone wanted dead?
A better question might be, is anyone in Skeeterville as innocent as they seem?
