KAVAJ, a German based company was founded in 2011 by Kai Klement and Joerg Kundrath. KAVAJ is manufacturer of genuine leather products. In 2011 we started producing iPad case. When we started KAVAJ, we didn’t know how to make an iPad case. We just knew that we couldn’t find one we liked for our own, original first-release iPad. We looked far and wide, too. Beautifully designed case and very sturdy

Looked at many leather cases for my new Iphone 6 and chose this one. My earlier case for my iPhone 4 was a Beyzacase which was very slim fit leather design. It looked good but when I got the Kavaj case I began to wonder if my earlier case would have really protected my phone if it fell... it probably would not have ! However it was easy to get the phone in and out of that case as you could push the phone up from the hole at the bottom of the case.

My feedback on the Kavaj case:

Pros - Sturdy, well built case. Definitely looks like it would protect your phone if dropped. Beautiful design and look. Though my teenage daughter mentioned it is 'ugly', so if you're a teenage girl then this case may not be one for you.

Cons - I'm not a fan of pulling a tab to have the phone slide out as I worry that at some point it is going to snap or stretch out and make the case unusable. However it is working beautifully for the 2 months I've had it... Its also a little difficult to get the phone out - as it pops up a little way when the tab is pulled but then you have to grip the phone and pull it all the way out..most of the time I end up pulling on the little camera thingy at the back of the phone to grip it.

Overall I really like this Kavaj case and it is well worth the price !!

I love this case. I used to have it in black for iphone 6 and now I bought this for iphone SE. Totally protects the screen when I am out and about, and then when I am home I slip it out of this and rock my iphone naked. Can't do that with those tight plastic cases evryone has. It's a different kind of lifestyle and philosophy of phone use.

I typically never leave reviews/feedback for the various items I purchase online, but sometimes a product is just that good. This protective pouch/case provides an excellent solution for me as I do not wish to put a case around my iPhone full time. Prior to purchasing, I was concerned that the phone may slide out the open end if I were to pick up the case with the open end dow, but for now the fit is very snug and I have zero concerns of this happening.

The card slots on the exterior is icing on the cake. I already have a minimal wallet (old business card holder), but now I can eliminate that from my pocket too. I am able to fit a credit card, health insurance card, and prescription card in the first slot and my driver's license in the outermost slot.

In addition to having great functionality, the case also looks amazing. My case does have a couple minor blemishes, but this appears to be normal as the included paperwork mentions how slight variation in the leather are expected. If you are looking for a case to protect the phone while you are not using it (i.e.: in a pocket, purse, or biking gear) I cannot think of a better solution that preserves the aesthetics and functionality of your device.

After having this case 2 and a half years I am finally reviewing it. I have nothing but GREAT things to say. This case has held up GREAT. These is only a slight wear in the corners, nothing unusual after 2 1/2 years of going in and out of my pocket. I just upgraded to the iPhone 11 and ordered the same case for my new phone.

Just thought I would add, I still use this style and company’s cases for every new iPhone purchase. I have bought one for my iPhone XS and have used it for 2 years again. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

After 2 years, I'm still using this case. I went back and forth with this and a plastic slim case for awhile, but this one is still my preference. I'm actually considering buying a fresh one because I want to keep my phone another year and i've loaded so many cards and stuff into it I see the seems are starting to pull. Still great quality. I've dropped my phone I don't know how many times inside of it and the glass has stayed undamaged. I only have dings on the unprotected sides from where I dropped it at that angle. But dings are bound to happen over the life of a the phone in my opinion. If I cared about those I wouldn't use this style of a case.
Still my favorite leather case I've bought I've attached some photos for you to see the case nearly 2 years old with consistent use.

Best leather pouch case I have bought.
I've been using leather pouch cases since my iPhone 4. I've used casemate, spigen and incase and this is my favorite I've ever gotten. The leather is nice feeling. The slots are great. Plus it has support inside the case that helps it kee the shape. I didn't have to stretch it out to make the phone fit. The pull tab works perfect and has a magnet keep it down. I just love it.
If there was one in white I'd give it 6 stars.

Great Fit, Surprisingly Durable

This is my second KAVAJ Miami case, the first being for my iPhone 5s. The previous case held up extremely well through two years of abuse, with only a minimal amount of scuffing on the edges. The case comes with a very tight fit for the phone which loosens up with use, but it never became loose enough that I had to worry about the phone falling out. The leather still looks great.

The case also protected my phone through a number of hard drops, including a accidental toss of about 15 ft. on to concrete. The only damage to my phone was done when I dropped it directly on the top edge of the case (where the phone is exposed), causing a small dent in the aluminum.

The new case seems to be of the same excellent build quality, and I expect it to last just as well.

Great case. Went for Kavaj specifically after how well my iPad 3rd gen case has held up.

Lovely leather, smells like the real deal. Phone fits nicely and the pull tab releases the phone easily. Looks the part, too.

The side of the case are rigid so most drops will be absorbed by the case and not your phone. I have had this case for almost 4 months and no harm has come to my iPhone yet (at least not whilst it's been protected!). Unlike other reviews, i have found my case to still look great; it hasn't become tatty or worn at all.

The pockets for credit cards are handy if you want to leave your wallet at home. I also use them to store emergency cash. They are tight meaning the cards will not fall out.

Loses one star due to very little protection if the phone is dropped and lands dead upright - the top of your phone will hit the ground at the same time the case because the phone fits flush inside. Looks great but i would have liked a few millimetres of leather extending past the phone at the top.

This is my third of these: I had the equivalent for an iPhone 5, and two for my current iPhone 6s (the previous one lasted a couple of years). Next time I upgrade my phone, I'll most likely buy another one!

It looks good, similar in finish to a small formal leather briefcase, and it's not too bulky.

The fit is nicely snug, so the phone never accidentally slips out of the wallet and the release mechanism works well. As an additional bonus, every time you slide the phone in and out of the case, the lining wipes the screen of fingerprints for you.

In terms of overall protection, there is one part of the phone that is exposed, and Murphy's law insists that when you drop the phone it lands there. However, there's enough overlap of the case that damage has always been minimal for me, limited to a few scratches.

This is a quality case, affording excellent protection, but the strap doesn't pull the phone out far, so it's difficult to extract it in a hurry and too easy to press the side buttons in the process. It will probably ease, with use, but would still be better if the strap pulled the phone an extra cm or two. I have taken to gripping the phone front-to-back rather than side-to-side, to pull it out, putting a lot of pressure on the screen.

There are no perforations for the speaker (which you might prefer, because perforations might let pocket fluff in, but I'd rather have them so that I hear the phone sooner). I sometimes put the phone in the case upside down, but that isn't ideal because it exposes all the ports.

The magnetic closure for the strap could do with being a little stronger. And I'm not sure of the value of the pockets on the front - business cards stick out and will quickly get dog-eared, so I don't use them and they just add bulk and weight.

I'll keep the case but wouldn't buy again.

This is lightt, but well made luxury for your iPhone. I wanted a case where I could carry a credit and a debit card, that would fully protect my phone, but the phone remains accessible. This does the job and the price is reasonable for the quality provided. I use my iPhone as my sat nav in the car and a small clip to hold it on an air vent. The position is ideal but with some cases it is too big for the clip. Then other times the phone is a pain to try to get out of its case. Now I simply slide the phone out of the case. No problems.

I spent quite a lot of time choosing the right case for my iPhone and it was a little expensive than I had thought about paying but it looked just right for my needs. It arrived on time, but my phone did not fit into the case. I am now awaiting a refund but I am reliant on Hermes getting it back to the seller, and from previous experience of Hermes, this tends to take along time. It has not put me off buying something similar online
