What do I like? Acer is reliable, have used their products for many years. I have two of them now, connected to an SER 5 mini PC, one using HDMI and the other a DP to HDMI cable. I was not thrilled about the Mini at first sensed that the monitors had sound, which they do not.The menu controls are a bit finicky, nothing unusual for a monitor in that regard.

    Nice size monitor. I was looking for something with a bit lower profile compared to the larger monitors that seem to be popular. I use it as a second monitor for work, reviewing documents and writing. Monitor is very bright. (Or maybe it is normal brightness and my old monitor was getting dimmer before it stopped working.) The placement of the controls on the back are a bit awkward. I prefer to have the controls on the front of the monitor when I’m adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc. The settings and menu take up a large part of the lower right-hand part of the screen. This makes it tricky to see the Windows sample pictures when adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc. That said, I only do the those adjustments once and then I’m done. The transformer on the power cord is huge. I had to plug it in to the end of my power strip and there almost wasn’t room for the plug next to it. A little larger and it would prevented me from using the outlet and I would have needed a second power strip to accommodate the handful of devices I need to power. I like the auto sleep feature and the tilt. This monitor’s height cannot be adjusted, but that is clear from the product description. Overall a good monitor and I’d buy again despite the small downsides.

    This monitor is cheap. The display is definitely not great and I would not use this monitor for gaming. It works perfect as a second monitor for myself where I watch videos or have discord pulled up while my game is on another monitor. The screen has a light filter on it, not sure what you would call it, but essentially if you are not looking directly at the screen, it is darkened/discolored. So not the best for watching movies either. This is just a cheap monitor option. It is VGA mountable and I had no issues mounting it, also works vertical when mounted. The stand it comes with I have not used, but it looks big and bulky to me and would take up more space than I would want. Over all, for the price it is good but if you are looking for a strong gaming monitor for $50 more you can get much higher quality ones.

    Es primera vez que compro un monitor de la marca Acer, anteriormente tuve un BenQ de 22 pulgadas.
    Por lo que aquí dejo mis observaciones de este producto para quien el sirva y sea de ayuda :)

    Paquete:
    - Está bien empacado, viene en una caja más grande que las dimensiones de la propia caja en la que llega el monitor.

    Qué incluye:
    - Trae un cable HDMI de 1 metro.
    - Trae su base y su brazo de plástico con acabado de piano, éste punto no me gusta en lo absoluto, ese acabado completamente reflejante es en lo personal desagradable ya que con el tiempo, el transportar, desmontar o hacer algo con el monitor será un imán de huellas y/o rayones en la base incluido el brazo que sostiene el monitor, solo es mera cuestión de estética que yo tomo en cuenta, ya que comparándolo con el monitor que tuve anteriormente de BenQ no había dicho problema.

    Envoltura:
    - El monitor viene bien protegido por la nieve seca que lo proteje, de igual forma viene envuelto en una bolsa de plástico para prevenir rayones.
    - A los bordes del monitor tiene también protección de plástico para que al colocarle la base tus dedos no toquen la pantalla y la manchen pero ojo, aquí muy imporante saber que esos plásticos en los bordes de la pantalla están muy adheridos por lo que hay que quitarlos con muchísimo cuidado y lentitud para que si los quitas con la pantalla encendida verás una marca debajo de lo que se va quitando de la cinta como si estuvieses tocandolo con un dedo, cosa que da miedo porque se ve como el liquido de la pantalla se va moviendo, no es nada permanente y solo ocurre en este proceso, pero mucho cuidado, debieron reducir la fuerza del adhesivo.
    - Los cables vienen bien envueltos, instructivos incluidos.

    Monitor:
    - El propósito para el cual yo uso este monitor y el por qué lo consideré en mi compra es por lo siguiente.
    > Tasa de refresco:
    - Es una notable e innegable diferencia pasar (en mi caso por primera vez) de un monitor de 60Hz a uno de 100Hz, que son nativos, nada de overclock.
    > Calidad de imagen:
    - Estoy bastante contendo por la calidad de imagen que proporciona, colores y contraste bien definidos, bastante configurable en los ajustes del monitor, un punto positivo es que tiene una función llamada: "Supernitidez" que como su nombre lo dice mejora la nitidez en el texto y la imagen en general.
    > Ghosting:
    - Acer incluye una tecnología bajo su propio nombre "VRB" que significa "Visual Response Boost" para evitar el problema del comunmente conocido ghosting, honestamente no me gusta esta función ya que en lo personal siento que el efecto es el contrario, se nota presencia de ghosting y un brillo notablemente reducido al usarse, he conseguido la configuración más balanceada y es desactivando el VRB, configurando el Over Drive en normal, bajar el brillo a un 50%, pero esto último ya depende de cada quien.
    > Color:
    - El color configurarlo en Usuario, el tipo de panel es VA "Vertical Alignment", tiene buenos ángulos de visión horizontales pero en los verticales empieza a perder algo de color y contraste, aunque tampoco es que vaya a estarlo viendo desde arriba, pero viendolo de frente tiene muy buena calidad, con eso estoy encantado.
    > Brillo:
    - El brillo es bastante elevado a mi parecer, teniéndolo a un 20% de intensidad, sigo notando que aún sigue siendo bastante elevado, no es tan incómodo de noche pero un punto a su favor es que puedes activar el modo "Luz azul baja" para evitar la fatiga en la vista, aunque siempre es recomedable tener como mínimo un poco de luz de fondo para que tus ojos no se cansen tan rápido.
    > Retroiluminación:
    - Aquí no cabe duda que Acer hizo un excelente trabajo, en mi caso, al poner una imagen completamente en negro, como el color: "#000000", no noto en lo absoluto ni un poquito de fugas de luz, ni la más mínima, cosa que me ocurrió lo contrario con BenQ que tenía 3 fugas de luz, que se notaban en imágenes muy oscuras, aquí no hay problema de eso, lo siento de mejor calidad porque la iluminación es uniforme de esquina a esquina.
    > Botones:
    - Contamos con varios botones, el principal es un joystick que se usa para moverse a través de la interfaz después de ver unos atajos con los otros botones que tiene arriba del joystick, es cómodo de usar, solo es tenerle cuidado para no dañarlo pues de eso dependemos por completo para éste mérito, de igual forma se confirma pulsándolo, el botón de encendido es el primero de la parte superior, al principio a ciegas puedes perderte pero una vez que lo ubicas ya no hay problema, por este lado ninguna queja.
    > Extras:
    - Nos incluye AMD FreeSync, cosa que no puedo aprovechar porque hago uso de un Intel UHD que no es compatible claramente.
    - Modo "supernitidez" para mejorar aún más la calidad y detalles en texto e imágenes.
    - Como contra, no trae altavoces, ni los más básicos, haciendo que dependas de unos conectados directamente a tu computadora.
    - Tiene 1 HDMI y 1 VGA, hubiese preferido 2 HDMI porque VGA casi no se usa pero pues es lo que tenemos.
    - Contamos con 1MS de tiempo de respuesta, bastante positivo para el gaming.

    Si eres un usuario muy exigente en cuanto al ghosting, no te lo recomendaría pues tiene una leve presencia del mismo en movimientos rápidos, con el tiempo ya ni te das cuenta, no le tomo tanta importancia porque logré encontrar el ajuste balanceado, así que es mínimo cuando ocurre, sin duda alguna es una excelente compra y la diferencia entre 100Hz que tiene este monitor y 120Hz que sería lo común, no hay mucha diferencia, se siente todo bastante fluido, nada de fugas de luz, nada de parpadeos por inestabilidad en la retroiluminación que es LED, excelente calidad y nitidez en general, buenos ángulos de visión, buen tiempo de respuesta, marcos bien delgados para una experiencia más immersiva, estoy encantado con mi compra y lo recomiendo ámpliamente, sino llegas a estar satisfecho, recuerda que siempre puedes devolverlo. Espero haberles sacado algunas dudas al respecto pues veo que en la página de Acer casi no hay nada de información acerca de este monitor, específicamente el Acer KC242Y HBI a 100Hz, por lo que si más adelante encuentro algo más que añadir, lo haré, pero por el momento ha sido todo, si lo compran, disfrútenlo mucho, vale la pena! :)

    El equipo tiene un brillo muy fuerte por lo cual para la noche si puede cansar, su material de fabricación se siente un poco malo y los botones sientes que se romperan en cualquier momento.

    El equipo es muy bueno y puede competir muy bien con algunos muy caros, por lo cual puede que no encuentres nada igual a menos que sea de uso.

    Para el precio que tiene vale 100% la pena, buena iluminación, interfaz intuitiva y buena tasa de refresco de fotogramas, eso si, tiene algo de ghosting el cual se puede reducir poniendo el Overdrive al medio, es algo no muy molesto y fácil de acostumbrarse, bueno para iniciar con los monitorea de + de 60 fps ya que el cambio de 60 a 100 es bastante notable al jugar y no es tan momento acostumbrarse a tener fps altos

    Es un monitor de apariencia sencilla. No podría decir que sus materiales son malos, sin embargo tampoco son excelentes. La calidad de pantalla, que es lo que importa más, es buena. Estoy conforme con la relación calidad - precio. Llego a tiempo y en excelentes condiciones. Si lo recomendaría.
