From the manufacturer
KEEN Utility boots feature asymmetrical toe protection specifically made to fit your left and right foot, protecting from the big toe to the little toe. Our larger toe box lets your toes breath and spread out, the way they were meant to, and it allows room to move and flex, preventing pinching when the foot is hyper-flexed.
Molded reinforcement on the toe box safeguards against abrasion and mild impact. Combining functional design
and innovative shape, KEEN patented toe protection keeps your toes safe from the unexpected.
KEEN Utility is one of the only brands that brings the comfort and fit of a hiking boot into every single one of our work boots. The more natural, snug fit in the heel and a more spacious, intuitive toe box creates a one of a kind work shoe.
A waterproof, breathable membrane that lets vapor out without letting water in. Perspiration and moisture naturally produced by your body are able to escape, while at the same time keeping the wet out and keeping your feet dry.
Light and versatile with a burly side, the Detroit Mid work boot moves with you while delivering stability, support and steel-toe protection. Great for a variety of job sites, this work boot is made for wearing. MEETS ASTM F2412-11 AND F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 EH STANDARDS
The motor city gave us the assembly line and a good share of the world's automobiles. The Detroit work boot from Keen reflects the solid work ethic of this through a versatile medium-profile design that supports and protects every inch of your feet. So comfortable and easy to wear, you just might forget to take them off once your shift is through.

The size length-wise fit fine (maybe a just a smidgen short) but width wise is narrow in my opinion. I get hot-spots from the lack of room in varying places on both feet and they differ from one another. The durability is yet to be discovered as not enough hours of wear time and not sure if I will ever get to the point of properly assessing them for that particular point.
I might suggest getting wide on any Keen shoe that offers that option if your foot is near the wide side. I don't use wide so I went regular width. This is a common issue that I am finding with Keen and maybe it's my foot or Keen with improper sizing. Either way my Boys don't seem to mind any as they get practically brand new Keen at zero cost to them.
Would I suggest these shoes? Still unsure, but I will follow-up when I get a proper fitting Keen in the future.
I do wish that the laces were a bit longer but this is a very small issue. When I wear these out I will just buy another pair.
For reference: other brands were either uncomfortable, unstable, or just wore out to quick (9 months was the average life before this discovery.)
I'm 6'3", broad shouldered, just south of 300lbs.
P.s. OE laces didn't last very long, aftermarket replacement lasted two years however.
