I needed a power supply for my Litecoin mining rig. I had a a Name Brand power supply that slowly died over two weeks... I bought this power supply for the same price of the Name Brand one and this one is 200 watts more powerful.

Pro's
- Powers my 7950 and 7770 under full load 24/7
- Doesn't run hot.
- Good construction
-Cheap(Price)

Cons
-It seems lite, compared to my Corsair and OCZ power supplies in the same range.
-Not Bronze, silver, or gold certified. *Although, I'm sure that cost a good bit of money to get certified*

Other thoughts.
For the money and the features. It is hard to beat. The voltages look stable. I will check the voltages in a week from now, if they start to degrade I'll post the results here.

Over the past week I tested this power supply in every possible way. No a single glitch. This unit has plenty of power @ 850 watts, a great 120mm fan, and every possible combinations of plugs you'll every need. Does your MB use a 4-pin 2x2, a 6-pin 2x3, or an 8-pin 2x4; it doesn't matter this power supply has them all. Plenty of SATA plugs, flat 4-pin for your video & audio card and enough Molex plugs to meet all your needs. It added almost no discernable noise and my case is actually cooler than with my old 500-watt unit. I'd highly recommend this unit. I had a couple of email exchanges with the seller and found them very accommodating and eager to help with all my questions during testing of this unit. If you're looking for loads of power at a great price, plenty of connections, cooling without adding noise, and flawless operations; your search is over.

We used a Kill-A-Watt device to monitor the power draw from the outlet through the KenTek 850W power supply. We progressively plugged in more devices in the computer (hard drives), starting up the computer every time and monitoring the power draw. Upon reaching about 400 Watts draw, the power supply made a very loud popping noise, and we smelled a chemical stench coming from the power supply. The conclusion is that the supply we were shipped didn't withstand more than 400 Watts.

This is the cheapest 850w psu on the market and though it is $42.00 and came shipped in a black shoebox looking thing, it is 10 times better than the 480w psu I bought locally. For one thing the 12v Rails are unbeatable, I mean 2
rails rated at 27 and 28 amps? SLI Ready is what I am now. For another thing my gpu isn't struggling just to get its well earned and well deserved power, it now has all of it that it needs! Like everyone else here I was very skeptical about getting this power demon, and I'm glad I chose it in the end.

I was at first admittedly worried that this thing would be DOA, but it's been working fine since I got it. My system is as follows:
NZXT Phantom 410
Intel Core i5-2500k
Gigabyte AMD Radeon 6950 1 GB
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8 GB
I've had no problems so far, and will update if I do.

I searched a long time for a good power supply before finding this one. If you've looked, then you know most of them at this level are $100 at least, usually more. This is a great deal, and like another buyer below I was highly sceptical. But it arrived quickly and worked right out of the box, no hassle. I highly recommend it, 850 watts at this price is unbeatable, and can offer power for SLI or almost any configuration.

Well I truly have to say... I am incredibly surprised. I waited a good 8 months or so before reviewing this item just to see how well it handled long term use. I haven't had a single problem at all. Runs a power hungry gtx 680, an i-7 2700k, and all the other important bits and pieces without a sweat. I took a pretty big (and stupid) risk by plugging it right in out of the box, buy it's lasted this long, and still looks as new as the day I bought it. Very quality PSU for the price!

This is actually a good bargain PSU. I have been using it for the last couple weeks and it has been working without evident issues, and this is despite being used.

The downsides are that it is not modular, so the cables do easily get in the way if using a smaller case (like what I am using it with). And even though it may be rated for SLI, only two 8-pin and one 6-pin connectors are actually available--one 8-pin being meant for the motherboard.

The upsides are that for a low price you get a lot of power, definitely enough for a modern SLI or Crossfire setup. It has a switch, which may not seem all that important, but on cheap PSU's, it is common to leave this seemingly dull feature out. Beyond the GPU connectors, there are plenty of SATA connectors, and an average amount of Molex connectors.

In summation, it leans towards a high-end PSU, but at a fraction of the price!
