I ordered this power supply and had random parts going bad in my new computer. it took a month and a couple trips to the PC repair store to figure out this unit was frying my computer components. EBOXDIRECT would not honor a refund on this item. there was an extended period allotted due to ordering on black friday, and although i fell within that return period, it was not honored. when i filed a claim i was given a return label to give the product back. i have given the unit back and they still refuse to refund my money. on top of that, this unit has caused 200 in damages. i am in the process of filing a lawsuit and intend to contact the media about the dirty business practices of this company. by the way, i give one star only because zero is not an option.

1 of the pins on the main power connector popped loose immediately upon plugging it into a motherboard for the first time. I didn't try to use it right after I got it so now can't return it for full credit or replacement. Good waste of 60 bucks. I wasn't planning to use it on a high end system or anything, but it would have been nice to get it to work at all in a system.

I'm trying to power a few devices and I've tried to spread it accross the rails properly as it has specificied, but it cannot stay on, and often powers off after an hour. This happens when drawing 400W or even 470W. It performs much poorer than a 350W power supply I bought at local store.

This is the karma I get for thinking I can get a 1000W power supply for cheap.

This is just a big metal box now. I can make much more use of it as scrap metal and parts.

I installed this power supply, turned my machine on, saw fire and sparks inside (burning wire casings). I quickly pulled it out and threw it back in the box.

If you are considering ordering this PSU be real with your self! 1000W for less than 100$? That is too good to be true. I also read that Kentek actually is not SLI ready. That is a sham. I'm not quite sure why Amazon would even sell a product of this low quality.

The power supply arrived just as advertised. And it does just what they said it would do. I've been building my own computers since 1986. I got this supply because I have a system that requires allot of amperage for the processor and graphics. This power supply delivers, is quiet, and is exactly as pictured. It has plenty of long cables for all of your peripherals. No, you won't find this one on New Egg because they don't have the deals on power supplies that Amazon does. This power supply has a circuit breaker and other safety features built in making it unlikely to "damage" your computer (the first reviewer was concerned about this).

The only reasons I gave this product 4 and not 5 stars was because there isn't much mention of the warranty or what to do if it goes bad. There wasn't any documentation with this product, either. Other than that, what you see is what you get.

Other supplies I found on various sites went into the $200 range to get the wattage this one supplies. It's a great deal.

I installed this for my own build. I ordered many bargain parts from amazon to build my rig. Specs are: 16GB Sector 5 pc12800 memory; Phenom X6 Black OC'd to 4.1 GHZ; Cooler Master V8; Crossfire(x2) MSI R6870 twin frozr cards; x3 Dell 1908 19" monitors; MSI 870-G45 Mobo; Cheepo Case ($18); Asus SATA DVD Burner; x2 1TB Seagate SATA3 HD's; I needed 1000 watts for the cross fire so this fit the bill nicely. I will report any problems I have.

Update 7/19/2013
Half a year later and nothing but stable performance from my system. No crashing or freezing or locking up. Games play super fast. And I love that I never have to wait for anything. I dual boot Linux and Windows 7 and am up and running in either OS in less than 14 seconds. I will be getting an SSD soon from amazon so I can get that elusive 7.9 Windows Experience Index score as all my others are over 7 and the only thing holding the system back are the hardrives' 5.9 score.
