This glue has a creative solution to this common problem. If you look at it the cap covers almost half of the length and that unusual sized cap design is what protects it from solidifying while not in use. I come back after months with no use and it is as if it was used an hour ago.
The creative cap design not only prevents drying but also prevents accidental loosening and leakage. Sides of the base of the cap have little pins which immobilize into the small holes on the actual body. That interlocking design keeps the cap in place. You can imagine how bad it would be if this little monster started leaking around and gluing everything it touches (I would still keep it in a plastic bag to prevent this problem though)
The precise tip is good while working in narrow spaces. In contrary to how it looks you don't need to squeeze it to get it out. Flipping it upside down generates a small amount of liquid glue which is enough for most cases and all the glue is in the tubing not at the base. So I guess the bulky base only works as a handle.
Last but not least it is pretty strong. I used it to glue difficult plastic and wooden surface, where there is no proper overlapping areas and the connection is through a rough tiny area, but it really held well almost instantly and after a day it was as if it never broke. Be careful not to touch it with your fingers since not only it does not go off easily but also you may touch other parts of the object you are gluing and that may leave a nasty smear behind.
That tiny glue has exceeded my expectations. Recommended for tough works...
PRO TIP:
This is a new thing I learned after getting this glue. If you have a bike and it is punctured, then rather than getting a new tube or even a rubber patch, which will probably come off sooner or later, use the glue to plug the hole. Most punctures to the tube are tiny cuts, just apply glue over the cut to seal it. Works like a charm. Did it to both my front and rear tire tube and been riding like so for more than a month...
EDIT: 6/15/2015
A small update on the fixing punctures:
I've done this on numerous tubes and they all do well. The puncture stays sealed, however you may always get new punctures!
The approach I follow to fix punctures is as follows:
1. First, remove the tube from the tire (obviously).
2. Next, fill them with air. Now either try to hear where air is leaking from, or to make it easier, put the tube in a bucket of water and check for bubbles! (This is how bike repair guys do it in India...)
3. Use a chalk or something else to mark the puncture spots.
4. Dry the surface, if you immersed it in water. Then, apply a dab of crazy glue on the puncture. This works best if the puncture is a small slit or a needle prick. Just let the glue dry completely.
5. Don't try to put pressure or anything. The glue can take a while to dry completely. Be patient, get a cup of coffee and contemplate the savings (from not buying a new tube, that is!)
6. ???
7. Profit! Replace tube in tire. Keep on riding like a champ!
HOWEVER....
As said in the title it is very important to note that this Krazy glue comes with VERY bad instructions. The first time I used this glue I followed the instructions of adding a small amount to one piece and pressing together firmly for 30 seconds and alas it fell apart when I let go. I then waited about 5 or so seconds with the pieces apart as they still had glue on them and then pressed them together for a minute. They stayed.
As you can tell by looking at the bottle the glue is liquid. Right out of the bottle it is liquid, it is NOT tacky. It is true you only need a small amount however the way to apply this glue is to apply it to one of the pieces (or a small amount on both) wait 5-10 seconds before pushing the pieces together and firmly holding for a minute (don't wait TOO long before pushing together or it might get globby). Contrary to the 30 seconds the directions say. It takes a moment for the glue to become tacky though the directions do not say this. Right out of the bottle the glue is not tacky and will NOT stick. After doing this you must let the piece sit for a full 24 hours before using. This allows the glue to set. All super glues must set though the directions, again, don't say this. You cannot simply use it right after you've applied it or even an hour after you've applied it. You must wait a full 24 hours for it to completely set. Trust me.
Having said all that like I said in the beginning this glue is great. Whenever there is a break or crack in something I always rush to this glue and I know it will do the job and stay permanently. I glued a ring I wear everyday (in the shower, sleeping etc.) that I never take off and that was several months ago and thus far no problems or sign of the glue wearing. This glue is waterproof and extremely reliable. Forget the average cheap hardware store super glue that dries out so easily. If stored properly this glue never dries out and it isn't messy at all (store it upright!). The tip is very long and very precise (the best!). Tilt it upside down and give the glue a second to run up the nozzle to get rid of the air and then it's ready to use. Very easy and convenient. I can't stress enough that I use this for everything including things outside. Highly recommend.
Great glue, instructions a major fail.
