The first day kind of relates to the creation but all of the verses mentioned in the devotion references Revelation, 1 John, John, and Psalms. I feel, if you read the first ch of Genesis the devotion should be about learning from the creation and connecting homeschooling to the reading.
To me, it seems the authors thoughts are a little scattered. In the first devotion, it talks about the joy of seeing your child learn God's creation but then it jumps to lukewarm love (Rev 3:15-16), confessing our sins daily (1 John 1:19), living a life abundant in his love (John 10:10), and loving Jesus (John 14:21). At the top of the devotion, it has the verse " Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art accquainted with all my ways." (Psalms 139:3)
With all that being said, I don't recommend this devotional.
I was really impressed with this new and different Bible. This is the first one I have seen just for those mom's who home school their children. A lot of encouragement and support can be found in the devotions, which I think would help in reading through the Bible. So...if you are a home school mom, then I think this Bible is a must for you. You will be so pleased that you tried this one.
