Dont buy this chain. Someone is putting 11s stickers over 10s labels. The chain is stamped 10s. What a wast of my time.

I've purchased a few of these chains one the years, that's what happens when you have multiple bikes all running 11 speed. I've run them on both 1X and 2X drivetrains with no issues.
I have a couple of chains for each bike, I'm a bit of a clean freak with my toys and I wan them to last. Depending on conditions I'll clean the chain off the bike about every 2-4 maybe six weeks. So while one chain is soaking is cleaner I can still ride. I also clean the cassette and chainring, I'm all 1X11 now since selling my road bike. One less bike to maintain and the gravel bike makes up for the road bike. and yes I reuse the missing link (knock on wood), I feel that the recommendation to replace it after cleaning is more of a safety thing, KMC trying to stick it to the customer. Maybe the missing link is the weakest link, pun intended. I'm not sure.
For the person that claims someone put an 11 speed sticker on a ten speed box, I find that hard to believe, the boxes do not have peel off labels and I feel sure KMC would not do that. Now it may have been done at some third party warehouse, but not at the factory.
And mine shift well and are quiet.
I think that's about it, they are good chains.

These are great chains that I feel comfortable recommending to any one with a performance bike. They are smooth, shift well, and are durable. My wife and I run these with Dura Ace components and for the price I don't think there is a better chain on the market. These last more than twice as long as the DA chains I had at a fraction of the cost with no noticeable performance difference. My wife had an accident with hers that bent a link at a 90 degree angle rendering the bike unrideable, I bent it back straight with a couple allen wrenches and she was able to ride home. I still can't believe it didn't break. If I wasn't already sold on these I was then. Great product at a fair price.

I've only used XTR HG901 chains. This chain is almost twice the price and because of that, I had some high expectations. Well, I'm pleasantly surprised how well it works... even more so than the HG901 chains I've been running. Shifting is noticeably better, smoother, and more bling. Now, we'll see how durable it is. I always replace my chains once a year because I'm OCD as hell so the XTR chain this is replacing is pretty much brand new. I'm going to let this chain go for 2 years and see how it fairs since it is twice the price. So far, I like it.

I've had this chain on my Brooks Edition Warbird for 200 miles. NO matter how you tune, lube it or coddle it... it's loud and shifts like garbage. You would think that the higher end KMC would be better, but they are no better than the $25 chain they make. I tried it on with Dura-Ace Di2, Ultegra Di2 rear derailleurs and now the Force 22 rear with NO LOVE. Avoid it if you don't like hearing your chain while riding.I went with an 1130 SRAM and it's nice and quiet!

I never knew much about KMC chains until I recently bought a gravel bike equipped with one. There's really not a whole lot you can say about a bike chain, though. I've always used SRAM chains due to the simplicity of taking it off the bike for a thorough cleaning. Just undo the missing missing link and it's off the bike. The KMC works the same way... one, two, three, and it's off. One thing I'm totally not sure of, however. It's said that you should use a new missing link each time you reassemble the chain. I've not done that with SRAM and don't understand why the KMC is different. However, since that's what they say, that's what I will do. I'd hate to be in the middle of nowhere and have the chain pop off on me.

The chain broke easily where I needed it to for installation and the missing links are simple to pop on and very secure. Make sure you have a set of pliers if you need to remove the link for any reason! The stock oil they use is a bit on the heavy side and collects dirt easily. After a few more rides I will clean and relube with a lighter dry oil.
Very happy with this purchase and may be ordering more for my other bikes!

Absolutely love this chain! Upgraded to a 1x11 and was in the market for a chain. I've typically used either Sram or Shimano chains during maintenance, but figured I'd go for a KMC this time around since they offered a lightweight option at a price I could agree with. I decided to go with this golden color for something a bit different and I am SO glad I did! It looks better in person than the pictures can capture.

According to my records in Garmin Connect, I replace this chain every 1,000 kilometers. I have a chain wear tool from Park Tool that tells me when the chain is worn (stretched). If you are a regular + rider accumulating more than 1,000 Km. per year, do long and sustained climbs or a large quantity of small but steep climbs those that require heavy pedaling, you better have one of these (11 speed cassette) in your garage and change it before the damage spreads to the rest of the drivetrain: chainring and cassette, which are way more expensive.

One of the best chains that you can buy! This chain doesn’t stretch and wear out as fast as cheaper chains. Worth the money, last 2x longer.
