You have to follow the directions per the steps given or you will run into problems.I had to go to the pdf file on the internet to see the build closer. This build is much more simple than the cobra's curse dueling coaster. It did overwhelm my 11 year old grandson, but after watching me he was able to take over. This is an awesome project for adult child bonding. This was a Grandma and grandson build. We have built the Cobra curse and the light up Ferris wheel next we are going to build the Octopus Whirl. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT.
Didn't think to return it to the seller because even if they sent us another box, there may be a chance some parts may be missing too.
For the little we put together it was a lot of fun. The directions could be a little better but not to hard to figure out. Cant wait for all the parts to come in!
Probably won't purchase another KNEX product but wouldnt mind receiving them as a gift.
It was challenging, but do-able. It requires more patience than most 10-year old kids have. Can be good for a boy or girl.
K'Nex don't lend themselves to much creativity, so its best to build what the plans say you can make. Not that I'd discourage that, but I think Legos are a better toy for budding inventors.
K'Nex rock for following a plan and ending up with a cool result.
it turn out really great, the ferris wheel spins really well and the lighting was perfect~
however, some parts from the instruction was a bit hard to understand.
u really need to focus to not miss anything!!
I think this is a terrible design flaw on part of Knex. When I analyzed, the noise is not coming because of mis-assembly, it is coming because the motor is too fast compared to the wheel assembly rotating (load is more). So, motor wants to run fast, but the wheel (because of weight) does not, thus creating gear slippage inside the motor. (this is the reason that noise goes down when the wheel picks up speed, because momentum builds up reducing load on the motor). In short, a good toy, worth assembling, but too precarious and not well thought through design. disappointed. I would not recommend this toy to any kid/parents.

We had a good time as a family putting this together, unless you have a dedicated large space though, it will have to be taken back apart to put together again another day.Published on January 9, 2013 by T&CB.
This is a great building toy not made specifically for boys. My niece is in 4th grade and built this easily by herself. Read morePublished on January 8, 2013 by D. Asper
