My puppy, though a small breed, Bichon Frise, is an aggressive chewer. He tears through many chew toys easily, so I needed a toy that would withstand his chewing and not be a threat (such as him biting off pieces of the toy then swallowing them).
I’ve had this item for almost two months and it is still going strong.
I do recommend this product for aggressive chewers. I personally have not put food in it.

Larger than I expected, good-grip rubber

I ordered this as an add-on item for the lab puppy we will be picking up in a week. I thought about ordering three of them, as we have two adult labs, but the only one available at the add-on price is the Medium size. This is larger than I thought it would be (by the description of 3.5 in length). I have attached photos of our other large dogs investigating it.The only thing is, neither of the large dogs seemed interested in it - it smells of rubber or some chemical. If it turns out that the puppy likes it, I may buy more, as it seems like a hardy Kong toy, and there is a space in the center to put a small treat stick, or squeeze some treat goo. If they end up really liking it, I'll up my review to 5 stars.UPDATE 3/26/17:The puppy doesn't find this toy to be very desirable, except when I wedge small bits of kibble into the groves that run all around the outside (which is what they are for). Doing that, however keeps him busy for a little while, and there are no signs of wear, even with the rough scratching, biting, and tugging it takes to get all of them out.

Huge amount of rubber powder falls from the inside whenever bounced on the floor. These a residues of very strong smelling rubber, not bitten off bits. This happened constantly after a couple days of use even after being washed with cold water.

Gave it to my 8 month old Cockapoo and within one hour of giving it to him the end was chewed off and harmful shards of rubber were on the floor. Was advertised as a puppy chew toy. Very disappointing for a Kong toy when Kong is supposed to withstand strong jaws. My Cockapoo’s jaws are definitely not strong. Sent back for a refund.
