Product description

Size:Small

The KONG-shaped Wobbler is an action-packed treat and food dispensing toy. It sits upright until pushed by a dog's paw or nose and then periodically dispenses tasty rewards as it wobbles, spins and rolls. The unpredictable movement keeps the toy challenging, even for seasoned Wobbler users. The Wobbler can also be used as an alternative to a dog bowl to help slow and extend mealtime while providing exercise for your dog. Unscrews for easy filling and cleaning. Covered by KONG Satisfaction Guarantee. See KONG Satisfaction Guarantee document below for full details.

5.0 out of 5 stars KONG Wobbler vs StarMark Bob-A-Lot
By Brandy on November 8, 2017
I purchased this Starmark Bob-A-Lot and the Kong Wobbler at the same time. My dog does prefer the KONG Wobbler (See picture for comparison), because it is easier to knock treats out. The Starmark is nice, because you can customize it.

On the KONG: You just unscrew the top of the beehive from the base and place treats on the little platform, then screw the lid back on.

On the Starmark: You unscrew the yellow topper and put treats (I use his regular kibble and he enjoys it all the same) in the top. There is a little switch inside that you can pull to the desired size, so treats don't come out too easily.
There is another switch like this on the side of the toy where the treats come out.

I feel like the StarMark wobbling toy is more sturdy than the KONG version. I feel like the KONG version's threading is going to wear down faster, as the StarMark seems to be more durable. (My dog likes to pick it up and drop it from the couch).

All in all, my dog prefers the KONG, but in the long run I think this one will stand the test of time. He has been playing with these for several months now and has not broken either one yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Whippet good!
By Christine on June 3, 2015
My dog is extremely picky, but he'll eat anything he has to chase. This toy helped out a ton! Also doubles as a great hat. Are we not men?

5.0 out of 5 stars Best toy we've gotten yet
By Jennifer Ann on May 14, 2016
We love this toy.It keeps our husky mix puppy entertained for quite a long time - which is usually hard to do! We put a mix of his dry dog food mixed with a small handful of training treats such as Charlee Bear or Pet Botanics Training Rewards in it and he goes crazy.
Like some other reviews have mentioned, sometimes it dispenses too much, too easily. I suppose this varies depending on the size of treats/food you use to fill it with. To remedy this, we just put a little "lip" made of duct tape at the bottom of the hole on the inside and it seemed to help a lot (see picture).
Our dog is a crazy power-chewer and has not managed to wreck this toy, even though he's destroyed just about every other Kong he has. So we love it as much as he does!

5.0 out of 5 stars It is better than the IQ balls in the sense that it ...
By triplebeam1988 on August 17, 2016
My puppy went crazy for this! It is better than the IQ balls in the sense that it is not constantly getting stuck under or behind furniture because there is a weight at the bottom of it, so its hard to roll around by design. It is very sturdy. I took off one star because unlike some other food dispensers, the hole is not adjustable. Because of this, my dog was able to get all the food out within a couple minutes.

Updating to 5 stars. I've had for about a year and it's the only thing I use now.

5.0 out of 5 stars I almost gave up on this toy until I tried this training tip!
By Nicole on March 11, 2015
I love the idea of this toy but unfortunately even the small was too large and intimidating for my 10lb, food-motivated chihuahua. The small size stands about 6" tall and 4.5" wide, the treat hole is 1.5", and the toy as a whole is fairly heavy considering the size of dog it's intended for (it's not that easy for a small dog to wobble). Even after trying to teach her how to use it, she was unable to figure it out. She won't nudge it to make it wobble but instead tries to dig under it. The material is a hard plastic and she tends to back away for fear of it hitting her (when I wobble it for her). I think this would probably suit a larger dog or one with better problem-solving skills, but mine seemed very uninterested which is a shame because I was hoping it might entertain her for a while. I tried to give it a chance but it's been a few weeks now and she still has been unable to learn how to get the treats out and I'm at a loss in teaching her how to do it.

EDIT: So thanks to another review that I read directly after posting my original review, my chihuahua has FINALLY, successfully learned how to dispense the treats. It took about 15+ minutes of training and encouragement by simply filling the kong to the max with small treats, and then placing a treat underneath the kong so that she would learn to nudge the kong with the top of her head. We did this over and over until she started nudging on her own and realized the treats would fall out of the kong almost every time she did this. I'm hoping once I switch to regular dog food, she'll be just as excited and motivated to play with the toy. She's still going at it as I write this edit! Thanks again to the other reviewer for posting this tip!

Best toy I've got for the two!

They'll spend ages with them instead of trashing through the house whilst play fighting (Both got a lot of energy even after long walks).

Durable (the GSD picks it up every now and then and throws it on the floor...that works on the normal Kongs to get the treats out so she tries the same trick with this).

Not too easy to get the treats out when using the right sized treats. I use mixtures of sizes to keep it interesting for them.

All in all. Love it.

Originally reviewed 21 August 2018 and now an update 26.05.2019:

One of them manages to unscrew the toy but it doesn't happen often. She however did chew on the top bit a little but knowing her, she put some serious effort in it and still didn't manage to completely destroy it. The two parts sti'll screw in and toy works fine (Now I just know which one is Ripleys :)

Both get their morning activity treats after their walk in these and they are part of our morning routines.
