The KONG Stuff-A-Ball effectively cleans teeth and massages gums while providing entertainment for long periods of time. Works great with KONG Easy Treat and KONG Snacks.
The best of all possible worlds: the Kong Stuff-a-Ball is a treat dispenser, a wild-bouncing rubber "ball," and a dental cleaning device all in one. Made from the same super-durable, puncture-resistant, non-toxic rubber as classic Kong toys, it's designed to hold treats that dispense as a dog rolls the ball, chews, and plays. Wedge biscuits into the center ports and smear peanut butter or Kong brand Stuff 'N Pastes in the crevices, and extracting the contents becomes a "hunt" to keep any pooch happy and busy for hours while their owner's away. For the pooch with separation anxiety or problem behaviors, chewing on a Stuff-a-Ball provides boredom prevention, stress relief, and intellectual stimulation while she's home alone. Not to mention the dental benefits: the Stuff-a-Ball's ridged exterior grooves gently "squeegee" teeth and gums clean, helping prevent plaque and tartar buildup (not to mention canine halitosis). Try smearing doggy toothpaste (or Kong Stuff 'N Breath Treat) into the exterior grooves to motivate your dog to chew and freshen her breath at the same time. Best of all, the irregularly shaped design produces a goofy, unpredictable bounce that will keep your dog's attention far longer than a conventional round ball. Measuring three inches in diameter, this Stuff-a-Ball is recommended for small- to medium-sized breeds like beagles, cocker spaniels, and pugs. Regularly inspect your ball for cracks or missing chunks, and replace worn or damaged toys to avoid a choking hazard. Satisfaction is guaranteed; if either you or your dog aren't happy with your purchase, return within 30 days for a full refund.--Mary Park

UPDATE: I've contacted KONG 3 times regarding this toy to see if they would refund or give me a replacement. No one has contacted me yet and I have yet to buy another KONG toy.
I am including a couple of photos I took of this toy showing the top and bottom openings. I can wedge one of the KONG Stuff'N Snacks into the larger opening as shown in the listing photo, but the tabs that hold this treat in place are also what prevents this from being as good as the KONG Classic for use as a treat dispenser. My dog can't get his tongue in that cross shape opening and if I were to cut the tabs off, as one of the reviewers here references, I don't think the toy would still work to hold the KONG Snacks.
I also found that if I smear Peanut Butter or KONG Stuff'N Easy Treats in the crevices as recommended I end up with a mess all over my floor. Also, once the residual has dried in the crevices it is difficult to clean. The paste residue didn't even come off entirely for me after running it through a dishwasher cycle. It required a hand brush and I found it difficult to get into all those small crevices (for me cleaning required a toothbrush).
I tried inserting mini Crazy Dog Training Treats into those side crevices as well and even though my dog likes these treats it wasn't enough to keep him interested in this for more than a few minutes. But, small training treats like these do work well for those crevices if you're looking for something less messy than the KONG pastes.
Finally, one of the questions here asked where this was made. I included a scan of the back panel of the packaging showing it is made in the USA. Hope this helps.
The Stuff-A-Ball is absolutely his favorite toy. I have put peanut butter in the slots (for him to eat outside). I have also put Kong cookies in the larger slots and moist-and-meaty dog food cubes inside the ball to keep him busy for a few minutes. He is literally obsessed with this red ball and will sit against my leg anxiously waiting for me to finish rinsing it. I have to make sure it is out of sight when training or he cannot fully pay attention. It's nice to see how excited he is to have it again after training.
I bought it two and a half years ago. I just bought another in case his current ball got lost. It's not easy to find such a durable and fun toy.
One of the things you will notice is that your dogs will become more active and interested in playing with the toys. Not only do they give them activity and a little snack it makes them think and try to figure out how to get the food out of the toy. Chewing on the toy also helps massage their gums, clean their teeth and keeps them be more active for hours to burn off more calories.
Not only is the toy fun for your dog but it was fun for us to watch them play. Interestingly enough the brave and tough dog was afraid of the wobbler toy because it moved and he thought something was inside. Meanwhile the Kong ball was an instant treat and one not to be shared between the two dogs. The quiet and passive dog simply took it over and would not share it with his bigger and tougher brother!
I recommend these toys to you for your pets. I particularly liked how it made them think and work to get the treat out of the toys. This is a 5 star product.
