The circuit diagram on the manufacturers website that includes a UNO is incorrect! If you hook it up this way it will fry the part in minutes.
The proper pinout (when viewing the lettering on the product) is (1 - left) +5V, (2 - center) analog out, (3 - right) GND. Also their example Arduino code says that it is displaying Celcius but it is actually Fehrenheit.
Otherwise, the product works well, though it takes 15-20 seconds to adjust to even minor temperature changes.

These are small, light, and reliable. The interface is simple, direct read, no serial circuit needed. The electronics are encapsulated, useful in dirty or humid conditions. The current draw is small. They are accurate, linear, and fairly quick to react to temperature changes. Plus that, the company offers a complete data sheet for the device.

MAKE SURE YOU READ IT. There are a lot of misleading pieces of info around about the pin connections. If you hook Vcc and ground backwards, you will fry the device, burn your fingers, and possibly damage or destroy your Arduino / Pi / etc. Make sure to look at page 1 of the datasheet before you start.

Not optimally packaged

This is my second batch of temp sensors from this company. The first batch of 5 came plugged into foam and sealed in a silvery (nickel coated) anti-static zip shut bag. This bag came loose in a small plastic box.

Although neither way is optimal, loose in a plastic box is the worst of the two methods. At least an anti-static bag will protect them from being zapped. But the box can generate a charge as the plastic molded and leaded parts tumble around. Fortunately the parts are relatively robust. Although I have not tested them yet, I will update this review once done. All devices arrived in good physical condition.

A note on the first batch. All five worked and were within spec. Since they were from the same lot, they were within a few tenths of a degree F, from one to the another. I am expecting these to work, also.

They Do Their Job

These seem to be quite accurate - maybe within 1 degree Fahrenheit. However, I have had a lot of trouble getting them to work properly when on the same power supply as a microchip. Even if I isolate them from the chip's power supply, they still show quite arbitrary values (like +- 10 degrees Fahrenheit). I haven't totally solved this mystery. To make things even weirder, it works when on the Arduino's power supply! I guess they just did a better job filtering power supply noise than I did.

My sensors seem to be exactly backwards from what was described in their manual. Wondering why the reading was saying numbers around 500, I thought I had to do some interpretation/calibration. So, just to test if the number went up when it is warmer, I grasped the sensor with two fingers. Immediately time slowed down to a halt as I felt the surface of the sun on my fingertips. My breadboard is melted now. Watch to see if the sensor is flipped before touching.

Have had to reset whole microcontroller circuit and sometimes reload program. (On program reload I accept much of that is my fault but I have had working code run for days and the sensor data is skewed from actual. Reset and reload program will fix.
Rig is not at fault current project and program has ran a month on same rig I tested initially. Have bee running it on a mega2560 chip with good results. You can see some of the error reads in the image of the terminal output.

Fire hazard!

The three of these sensors that I have attempted to use all overheated to where I was afraid that they would start a fire. They became so hot that they melted a breadboard. I tested
them with 3.3 volt batteries stand alone and they still became too hot to touch I suspect them to be counterfeit.
