This is a great product for the price. Most cheap fume extractors tend to be a fan mounted behind a carbon filter that you can never get into the right place to actually remove fumes. This product uses the superior design of more expensive professional fume extractors, which is so much better.
The quality overall is quite good. The soldering on the PCB all looks good. The base is heavier than I expected it to be, Kotto achieved this by using two metal plates to mount in the bottom of the base. The mounting points are very nice, due to the fact that they actually used metal threaded inserts so it’s not just screwed into the plastic, like most cheap products would have done. They are standard M4-0.7 threads so you could use those to mount the base to your workbench or on the wall out of the way. The suction is great, but it is quite loud at its maximum speed. The hose extends up to 28” to the end of the fume hood, and the hose is 1.75” OD and 1.375” ID.
When operating at its maximum speed it draws 2.88 Amps of current. The AC adapted is low quality and I would not recommend using it. I wired the unit directly to my 12 Volt distribution block I have for my work bench. The unit uses a standard 2.1mmx5.5mm DC power plug, the center pin being positive.
Overall, I would certainly recommend this product to have on your workbench. I don’t think you would be able to find better quality at this price.

If it came with the HEPA filters, they re-adjusted the suction level label and it was $20 cheaper. This would be the best beginner/semipro fume extractor on the market by far!Easy to assemble, looks good, performs well and with the HEPA filters gets the job done very well.The HEPA filter doesn't fit properly with the cardboard insert still inside it, I had to take it out. But on the HEPA filter page, from the seller, you can see the cardboard in there with the HEPA filter. Unless they removed the active carbon filter.The suction is very good, but it's also very loud, Which I don't mind as long as it's doing it's job.
