I love it. super easy to assemble. you can keep the cubes the size you see in the picture or change the size by leaving out panels. I was able to size cubes to hold canvases. the cubes are deep to hold lots of items. It comes with everything you need including a small hammer to tap pieces in place. I bought the 16 unit to start with and ordered additional 12 units for another room. if it gets dirty just wipe clean.

I bought a 6 cube set with doors for my clothes storage and liked the fact that you can customize the set up to fit the space it’s intended for. I was amazed at how quick and easy it is to assemble and at how spacious each cube is. I decided to put my mountains of yarns and craft items in it to see if it would fit and if it was strong enough to hold without tilting or falling and it was! Not only is this a quality product, the price is unbelievably affordable! I’ve already ordered a 9 cube unit without doors so I can finally organize all my things in the limited space I have on my extremely limited budget. The company’s founder also send a wonderful thank you letter in the box which, I thought, was fantastic. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for affordable, spacious, customizable storage.

Almost perfect... but still worth the money

Starting with the value it was worth the money. It says you can build it how you want so I went for it. I wanted to do 2 cubes wide by 6 cubes tall. I just needed the cubes for folded clothes and not hanging clothes. I assembled it pretty quick once you get the rhythm it literally comes easy. The biggest pain was the zip ties. It comes with these to add support but it took forever to get the through. Words of wisdom is do the as you go.

A few complaints.

The doors - a few of them touch so when you open one it opens the other. Also, there is no latching mechanism, but in fairness they tend to stay closed.

The modularity - in fairness i built it the way I wanted, but it claims you can. Point of the complaint is I was 1 pannel short of completing a 2x6 cube to perfection. More annoying than anything else but doesn't ruin the structure.

I wish I would have gotten a bigger one of the same. People see it and love it! So far has been sturdy. No issues even when I modified the amount of squares built since limited space available for it. The only thing would be that the drawing of the assembly puts the drawing horizontally when in fact the smaller side goes to the front creating the deep square not wide square and some people were getting confused because the drawing has the measurements right but image wrong.

I purchased the white version of KOUSI Large Cube Storage - 14"x18".

It came with 14x18 side panels, 14x14 back panels, 14x14 doors, 14x18 reinforced panels, connectors, zip ties, mallet, clothes hanging bars, stickers, and some plastic bits you need to toss.

The one I got was four cubes by five cubes. The package came in a pretty hefty little box about 8inch by 14inch by 18inch. The panels are pretty sturdy, rimmed in wire with the pvc like plastic wrapped and heat sealed around it. There are five panels that are reinforced with an extra wire in the middle of the panel, these allow you to place the four hanger bars that came with the package and not worry about the panel sagging. They sent an extra package of connectors with the unit. I broke one of the connectors, so the extra package came in handy. This product comes with these little plastic pieces that look like an upper case E. Discard them, they are useless.

About the fourth completed cube is when I figured out that you need to zip tie the wires together after using the mallet to get them fully seated in the connectors. Don't wait till you get the unit fully built to zip tie everything together, using the mallet to seat the wires in the connectors will create a domino effect where the wire you are hitting will seat, but the rest of the wires will pop out.

It took about an hour to set up once I finally got a rhythm going. Most of that time was fiddling with zip ties. Overall it's a good concept, and great for temporary storage. Best part is when I no longer need it, I just cut the zip ties, take it apart, and put it in a little tote in storage. Its currently being used for quilting fabric. The bottom panels sag a bit, but upon removal of the weight (maybe 15 lbs), it pops right back up. Anything heavier, I'd suggest getting heftier zip ties as the sturdiness isn't the best.

Only thing I dislike is the doors. They constantly get caught on the ones above or below, so when you open one, you open two or three. Looks like the plastic wasn't pulled tight when it was heat sealed, so it's not tightly wrapped around the wires. Other than that, totally worth the money and time to construct it.

I was super mad while building this up.. I noticed that I was missing pieces and the “doors” were not even the correct size for this storage thing. The hangar parts were also not the correct size either. So I had to make due with everything I had received. It’s somewhat not sturdy depending on how many items you put in each cube. The first couple of times half of it fell apart .. so I make sure I “hammered” each one of the connectors in super hard. The placement “boards” barely connected in however, you end up with one part not wanting to connect in correctly. I had to use some my shoes laces to tie One side together for the part to actual be sturdy.

After that, it’s been holding up just fine with no issues besides one part but it is no big deal.

I love putting stuff together, and this was a perfect project. All components were included and after about 3 hours I was the envy of the neighborhood and husband! It holds a stupid amount of yarn and I can think of about a billion other uses for this storage system if I could find the space. So much better than open shelves for soft items, like yarn or fabric or stuff you want dust free - like camera gear, just as examples.
