I used to have a Belgian waffle maker that you had to flip over and it made one waffle at a time. It was a pain to clean and took forever to make waffles for the family (we have 6 kids). Well recently my daughter got diagnosed with celiac so we needed to replace our waffle maker and I went with this one and I’m so glad I did!! The plates come off to clean and are even DISHWASHER SAFE?!? I have washed them in the dishwasher and they still work great! A quick spritz of spray oil when I first start is all I need, the waffles don’t stick at all. But my favorite part is that it AUTOMATICALLY sets a timer and beeps when it is done. I don’t have to do anything other than pour the batter in and shut the lid. I walk away and can do other things until it beeps and then I pull the waffles out (did I mention it makes FOUR AT ONCE which is super nice for feeding a crowd) and pour more batter in and shut the lid. Literally so simple, I love it. Really really pleased with this purchase!
