Makes crispy waffles, batter doesn't leak out the sides, let's you know when the waffles are done. I don't have to keep checking. I set mine on 4 for doneness. Waffles don't stick. It's big but cuts the amount of time making waffles in half. Well worth the as storage space!

    This is by far the best waffle maker I have ever seen or owned. It makes the process of making waffles in the morning so easy. The nonstick grooves allow for easy batter pour. The detachable plate make it easy to clean and they are also easy to re-insert. There is a selector so you can select your level of doness for your waffles and the alert system to let you know when it’s ready to pour the batter or when the waffles are done is simple yet effective. It is a waffle maker, so it does have some weight to it however, it is not too heavy. 10 out of 10 I would recommend this to anyone who wants to replace their current waffle iron.

    I’m in love with this waffle iron! It’s well built, easy to clean thanks to the removable plates, heats evenly and the large capacity makes it easy to make a big batch to freeze, which is what we always do when we make waffles in our house.

    The first use does give off some smoke and smell, and just in case I threw away the first waffles. But would definitely recommend to a friend for the price point- you just can’t beat the value for what you pay. The waffles came out amazingly and now I can get rid of my old awful waffle maker!

    I've never made waffles before, so this was the perfect product for my first experience. I didn't know what I needed in a waffle maker, but Krup had exactly what I needed.
    The grill plates are held securely until you press the button release (top and bottom), and it has a red/green light to let you know when it's ready to add batter, a dial for how brown you want the waffles, (I used 3, but I want crispier so I will use 4 or 4 1/2 next time), AND it beeps when the waffles are done at the setting you dialed! Everything has a learning curve, so I poured too much batter on the first batch and it oozed out, but that was funny for this beginner. 😄 In the second batch I made sure to pour just enough into each quarter instead of in the center like the picture on the directions. They came out perfect! And clean up was a breeze, and also storage. Well made. This is a golden 5 star product! I would order again for gifts.

    I debated on which waffle maker to choose for a long time, and finally landed on this one. I chose it because:
    1. it makes four at a time, so it takes less time to do breakfast for the family.
    2. I like the size of the individual waffles and the size of the little waffle squares.
    3. the plates are removable so cleanup is easier.
    4. the size of the unit itself isn’t as giant as some other 4-waffle makers by comparison would be more difficult to store.
    5. the price — the others I was considering are much more expensive. They had better nonstick technology and bells-and-whistles, but at 3x the cost.

    My only complaints are:
    1. Cord length… why is it sooo short? I couldn’t use my kitchen island to make waffles because the cord can’t reach from the back of the waffle maker to the outlet of the side of the kitchen island.
    2. The beeping noise it makes when the waffle maker is ready and again when the waffles are done is a little aggressive (my kids say it sounds like a smoke alarm, which is an exaggeration, but illustrates my point).
    3. The handle to open the waffle maker gets very hot from the steam while cooking. I have to use a hot pad after the first batch it’s so hot.
    4. The nonstick smell the first couple uses is as-expected, but still ick.

    Overall, I’m happy with the choice to buy this Krups model. I wish the cons list was a little shorter, but not so much that I wish I’d spent $300 for another one. The price/value feels about right and the waffles taste great.

    I was using this waffle maker and another one during a breakfast for dinner party. On the Krups, the waffles came out golden brown and fluffy, you can set the temperature for how light or dark brown you want them. There was a timer to let me know when it was warmed up and another one to let me know it was down cooking. The other waffle maker didn't have a timer so I forgot about it and I burnt my waffles. The best thing about the Krups is that it makes 4 large waffles, so my family of 4 can eat a hot waffle at the same time. The clean-up is fantastic and so easy! Just pop out the waffle plates - the top and bottom come out - and put in the dishwasher - I put them on the bottom rack. I've only used it twice, so far so good. The only thing I'm trying to figure out how to make just one waffle and have the timer get set. I tried in the upper right and the timer didn't go off. Might need to read instructions. But overall, super pleased!! I would highly recommend!!!

    I've had this waffle maker for a few months. I really like it, because the griddle plates easily come off making it very easy and quick to clean. I make multiple waffles at one time, separate them into quarters, then freeze them so I can take one out to toast it and have it with fruit.
    Yes, it would be nice with an on/off button so it wouldn't have to be unplugged each time, but that's very minor to me. It makes great Belgium waffles. I leave them in a little longer after the green light comes on so they can brown more. The maker is not little or light, but I have the perfect place for it if I turn it on its side.

    I have owned 3 different waffle makers in the last three years since the pandemic hit. I have gone through 2 other waffle makers that just did not make the cut for me. This is my third waffle maker. I purchased the Krup Waffle Maker and received it within a very short time. Here is my list of Pro and Cons on the Krup Waffle Maker:
    Pro:
    The box came, undented and no scratches.
    Easy to remove and put on the waffle plates. They are dishwasher safe but very easy to wash by hands.
    Very Sturdy and not at all flimsy (no plastic pieces except for the handle.)
    Can make 4 waffles at once without have to wait.
    Has a green light to let you know when waffles are done and makes a noise.
    Con:
    I don't really think this counts as a con but it is quite heavy. So if you don't like heavy small appliance this is not for you.
    No other issue for me.

    Price point it costs the same as all my other waffle makers and those I felt were not as sturdy. and made less waffles at a time. I make waffles almost every second weekend so this has held up quite well in my books. If you love making waffles for your family, this is the best one!
