I did give a low rating on the sleep function because it doesn't play well with windows. I use the pixel refresh when powered off function and just turn my monitor off when I am not using it.
You also can't disable the pixel shifting feature, which is annoying. So the borders around the screen are constantly asymmetrical. 27GR95QE you can.
Absolutely half-baked firmware. I'd also like to add that the brightness & colors looked slightly worse than the 27GR95QE I already had, after calibration in HDR games. The only reason I wanted the monitor was due to the reported increased brightness, rivaling the 27AQDM oled, supposedly. A load of BS.
What's worse is my panel had defects, some horizontal faint lines near the top of the screen in a 3-inch area. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but it's something you can't unsee once you do.
I can see why they are selling these for $525-$650 right now. Definitely unloading them. Stay away until they fix the many firmware issues.
Looks great otherwise. I use it mostly for gaming and watching videos. Not sure how it’ll perform for professional workloads though.
This earned them a 1 star.
Update: I emailed KTC of the issue stated above. To my pleasant surprise they responded quickly & refunded me $15 which is more than enough to buy an $8 correct power cord on Amz. The KTC Rep said this was a much faster solution than waiting for the shipping time for KTC to send me a correct power cord. I appreciated the Rep suggesting the fastest solution. Now that my s19 year old is able to game now, he is extremely happy with it even though it's a 2K. The 4k monitor I wanted to get with 240Hz refresh was out of stock & no idea when it would be in stock again. So I chose this model which is 240Hz also but only 2K. But my extremely picky spoiled teenager is actually very happy with this monitor. Any parent of a teen-ager today can appreciate when I say, "It's always a miracle when my spoiled little bastard teenager is happy about anything". Also a miracle to find a company that responds to issues and solves them in today's world. Thx KTC This was worth a change to 5 star!
CONS: I only have two issues. 1) there are two monitors with the same id's. Both say they are 27", but one says 26.5" in the ad, and there other says 27" in the add. I did not notice this until I made the purchase. 2) The message that floats on the screen says to "PRESS ANY KEY" to resume. This does not seem to work on my monitor, and I have to push the control on the back of the monitor (No biggie for me).
I am so happy I bought when I did. The monitor price went up by $30 the next day, and continue at the higher price thereafter. I would still have purchased it at the higher prices since it was hundreds lower than other monitors of the same ilk. Look up the manufacturer and you will find these guys may be the OEM of the higher priced monitors.
