Customer service is sending new bowl, advised to touch up old bowl with porcelain paint and keep it. Now I will have 2. Great folks! Great product! I used my WSM lid for ribs I did as I had not purchased dome yet.fits great. Plancha is cast iron and about 20 lbs! Love this thing!

But when I was looking for something different, something simple but effective, I founf Kudu's Youtube channel and after watching a couple of their videos, I was in love with this grill! Very sturdy, simple to setup and carry around. Flexibility of switching between wood or charcoal whenever I grill is the best. Being able to carry it with us to picnic or other functions is a huge plus.

I have not put it to use as yet, but the packaging was sturdy and protected the contents really well. The assembly was quite easy and I did not need to read the instructions. My only negative is that the tubes that the elevation tubes could be a bit more sturdy. I experimented by placing a 20 pound weight on the grill grate to represent a whole turkey and the deflection on the grate was significant (2 inches)
I'll have more to say after I put it to use this weekend.

Overall, I am really pleased at this price. A few things I would change would be the firepit would be a heavier cast iron. The assembly was easy. The parts are all well made. And the cast iron pan is a great feature. Not wobbly but I would still be careful with off-balancing when the pans are turned out with food on them. A good note for future production might be to make it have a wider base. But this is a really, really great item. Definitely happy with my purchase and proudly show it off and cook on it. Would recommend.

My wife and I have used this grill a ton of times since buying it. We braai just about every weekend we can and will even meal prep chicken or vegetables for the week while we are at it. Now that I've found a place to get the larger lamb chops, we have really been utilizing this thing as much as possible.

It's very sturdy but easy to take down and transport if you'd want; it is heavy though. The way the griddle and grating rotate around the pole works but the pole is getting scarred up from use. Hopefully it won't be a huge issue, so far it does work.

Overall, if you are looking for an open fire grill, it works good and seems like it'll last for a long time.

Yes it is expensive (especially in CAD$) but it is well made and well designed. I had been cooking on the fireplace for many, many years, crouched down with an adjustable grate that was hell to adjust. I guess I paid my dues, I deserved a KUDU :)
