Thick Muslin and Two-Sided Pre-Knotted Drawstrings

I love this bag. I am using them for packing ornaments for my indoor year-round evergreen tree (AKA Christmas tree)! Other brands have two THIN strings on one side only that have to be knotted before pulling them tight, and the muslin is too sheer. I will only buy this type from now on. I ended up having to buy 4 different sizes after discovering my ornaments needed larger bags. Then, I easily filled them with individual ornaments. Having the bags takes up A LOT less room than using tissue paper as I’ve done for years. They are protected from scratching and breaking caused by touching other ornaments. These bags are multipurpose. You can write on them, although, I’d slip a piece of card board into the bag to write on to have it level and to prevent bleeding through to the other side. It would be great for gifts of various sizes up to 6” x 8”, but they do have larger sizes, too. This could be a great art drawing project for adults and kids. I’d use permanent marker or fabric marker if I wanted it to last. I’m so happy with these. Thanks for reading through to the end.

Golf league gift bag

I am making gift bags for the women on my golf league. I am stuffing the bags with some tees, ball markers, and a golf ball. I am pleased with the bags. I ironed on the graphics using Avery transfer paper, also purchased on Amazon. The first one became discolored from the ironing. For the remainder, I utilized a piece of fabric between the iron and the bag and problem was solved.

These bags are well constructed with knotted ties so that the drawstrings will not unravel. I found no poorly made "rejects" in my order. I like that they are reusable. I use mine for packaging jewelry sales. I do not wash them before use but would not hesitate to try it---I don't think they would fall apart but I would not use hot water to avoid shrinkage. In handling the bags I did not notice any unpleasant fabric finish--they just feel clean. I bought the 3.5 x 4.75 inch bags and they are the perfect size for accepting the largest item I sell. The opacity is very good for my purposes. Each of my items are packed into an anti-tarnish bag, wrapped in tissue, and then put into the bag. Dark color tissue shows a shadow through the fabric, but that is all. The bags accept stamping nicely. I do steam press any that have wrinkles before I stamp them but that is probably not necessary if you smooth them with your fingers. My logo stamp has some small lettering and it is perfectly legible on the bag. The bags came minimally packaged in cellophane (inside of Amazon's packaging). Overall, I would recommend these.
