Tried getting them to live up to their warranty by sending for an RME and following up with phone calls but no response after 2+ month of trying.
A defective product with no customer service
We bought four pairs of Version 1 for winter trail walking and hiking. We have big dogs and these saved our butts many times. The next winter we bought four more pairs as christmas gifts for family members. The pairs we ordered now I'm going to call Version 2. They are probably still good but I wanted to note the following:
Size - we all wore mediums in Version 1- the large were really big. For version 2 we returned the mediums and kept the large. Boot sizes as follows: Women's 11, Mens 10.5 and Mens 11.
Quality - Version 2 still seems quite reasonable, however, the rubber is thinner and I think the chains are thinner as well (I'm not positive) than those on Version 1. We've used Version 1s for more than 5 years on an almost daily basis during New England winters and only one pair has broken.
I'm assuming that these will not last as long but will still work fine.
