This red colored immersion handheld two-speed blender quickly purees soups, blends batters, mixes beverages, and more. The unit's stainless-steel blade provides extremely smooth and even blending, while its protective blade guard helps prevent splattering. The blender offers one-handed operation with its lightweight design, easy-to-grip ergonomic handle, and simple push-button controls. In addition, its long shape reaches into pots, pitchers, and bowls for extended blending options, eliminating the need to dirty extra dishes. For quick clean-up, the blender's detachable shaft can go in the dishwasher and the smooth surface of the blender body wipes clean with a damp cloth. A durable plastic mixing cup with measuring marks up the side comes included.

But new buyers should be fairly warned that this thing creates powerful suction that makes it stick to the bottom of the cup/bowl/pot, because the head of the unit is enclosed like an inverted bowl, unlike other stick blenders.
For example, I was trying to make a smoothie in a cup, and it kept sucking up the cup and sticking to the bottom of the cup. Then I tried to use it to make mayonnaise, and it did the same thing.
Secondly - the cup that comes with the blender - IMO - is too dang small. If you angle the blender to stop the suction problem, the cup is too narrow to fit the blender. If you keep the blender upright in the cup, it sucks too hard and sticks to the bottom repeatedly. I've all but discarded the cheapo red plastic cup in favor of just using the blending in mixing bowls.
The cup is also too small for hands-free purposes. If you stop the blender and leave it in the cup and if it's not perfectly upright, the cup is too light and it tips over.
I also agree with another user who said it's not so easy to clean. Sticky foods get lodged behind the blade and won't come out.
Finally, on my first use the blender squealed loudly during use. It sounds like there's friction on the shaft that needs to be oiled or something, but there are no instructions for how to do that.
If I could go back and do it again I'd spend a bit more on a less "suck-y", more powerful stick blender.
For starters I purchased this product 4 months ago, to blend canned cat food (long story) I had previously had a Braun stick mixer that finally kicked the bucket after 10 years (wow such a great product). As replacement I found this one, just out the the box it is lound and can barely blend canned cat food and water...really? come on! Not impressed. However, I stuck with it, mostly because my cat was scream meowing at me to hurry up and blend is breakfast. Things had been moving along I learned that eventually this mixer will blend the water and canned cat food I just had to spend more time doing it. Then couple of days ago I was going through my normal morning routing when all of a sudden while using the produce the wire broke away from the mixer at the connection point, sparked together threw a flame across the kitchen and the wire fell on to my hand and burned it..along with blowing all of the fuses on that side of the kitchen. Thank goodness it didn't catch on the paper towels near by and thank goodness I am the one that got burned and not one of the animals, nor a child.
I realize now I should have sent the thing back to the company but I was so mad I threw it in the sink so it couldn't catch anything else on fire and threw it with the electronics recycling that we happen to be doing the next day, so that was my mistake which is why I didn't contact the company regarding a refund.
So in a not so short story, please save yourself and don't waste your time purchasing this product. I am going back to Braun, or Kitchenaid as I have never had a problem with that.
Cons: Loud, doesn't blend well, fire hazard and potentially dangerous.
