Durable and handled two years of rough use and play

I purchased these for my son in 2015, and today he finally asked me for a new pair because his feet hurt so much when wearing them. I ordered a size up, and they fit larger than expected. These have been through a lot of abuse. They've been used during work in the muddy garden, filled with smelly standing water and gravel, and then washed out with vinegar and air-dried in the sun for days. Submerged for hours while fishing in murky lakes, worn daily for months as he played on bikes, scooters, and in trees... And these boots still have a lot of life in them, so will be donated. The only negative I have is the insoles didn't last long. I replaced them, but they didn't stay in either. My son didn't seem to mind though! Now I'm off to buy another pair!

Going to get those out of the way right now- I'm an adult and I wear a size 5.5 shoe. Go ahead read it again get your laughs out now. That said this is a review as just that an adult.
I had to get a 6 and 5 would have been too small. It's just about right, some wiggle room but not swimming in them. The calf on the other hand. I can barely fit my left in if I tuck my pant leg in it has to be don't just right. Also didn't mention athletic build (hockey and bikes).
The last thing the footbeds, my last boots they stayed put the felt just slides around in the boot when I put them on and usually ends up in my toes. For now they are on the floor and won't be used unless I Velcro them in.
Otherwise awesome boots, they do what I want keep my feet dry and don't hurt my feet

I bought a size 5 and size 8 for my boys. There is literally no give. My one son has super skinny feet and legs. He is a string bean. After about a ten minute struggle I eventually got his foot in. My other son forget it. There was no way. These shouldn’t even be sold. I’m quite angry. And the thing is the foot part would be gigantic if I got sizes three times bigger. Who wants to spend 10+ minutes struggling with a child to get rain boots on when you have to leave? Not this mom!

Have had these for 8 months and used on and off for a 7 yr old boy. He has normal sized feet and they fit nice and maybe even snug or 'perfect'. Not all floppy around like some oversized boot. It makes him want to use/wear the boot more. NO issues with cracking. WE use them as motorcycling boots too since they are stiff enough that they provide some protection. I have done a TON of research and looked at every boot in every store in my town, Bellingham, wa that was available. This is the best for the buck. Good traction, thick, protective, doesn't crack, name brand and fits nice and normal. can wear for hours. All the others had issues like: too thin (easily poke hole), no traction (whats the point? mud? hello!), known for cracking in the bend-zones or ugly or too expensive. The only other option worth considerinng are the brown boots that look like dads big ones. Neoprene boots. They are about 23$ and probably much high quality rubber/neoprene. Sold at lfs. They are thin though. And lower levels of traction on bottom of boot. I may try a pair for my other son to see how it goes. The toe protection allows a kid to kick something pretty harrd and not hurt toes. Thinner boots won't offer the same protectiion. I would buy these again, but wish a local shop provided them so we could get thhe right size everytime.

Updated: bought two more sets of these awesome boots for my other kids. Simply love them. Best bang for the buck out there. Period.

Great boot for tough kids!

These are great boots for rowdy kids. My son wore holes through the Lonecone brand in less than a month, whereas we've had these boots now for a month and a half and the treads still look brand new. They are a narrow leg opening and since they don't have pull handles you may need to help your kid put them on, but my 3.5 year old has that figured out now. Still need to master putting them on the right feet though! The upturned front in the toe box is actually a really nice design since most kids tend to drag their feet a lot when they wear rain boots. These feel lightweight enough that my kid is not too bogged down with the extra weight when compared to sneakers.

Great boots, we're now on our second set!

These are fantastic boots for kids so much so we're now on our second set. The sizing seems pretty accurate but of course its advised to order at least a size up if not two. We ended up ordering two sizes up our last order to get a little more life out of them. Our 4yo and 7yo absolutely love them and used to them quite frequently on rainy days here in WA state. Tread is great and the durability has been excellent.

Outside from normal wear and tear, we had no issues with them. The first set lasted roughly a year and we certainly could have gotten a lot more out of them if it wasn't for growing feet.

Now regarding the negative reviews; looking at some of the pictures especially the one with a perfect cut down the middle of the top foot its apparent they were abused.. I mean c'mon now, it looks like someone took a knife to them so take those reviews with a grain of salt.

We love these boots, great color selection and for $25 your going to be hard pressed to find a boot this good.

Not Very Breathable, Cheap Liner

These are our second pair of this boot. The first was a hand me down. After about 5 wears, they smell like feet. Like the last pair, my son's feet are always sweaty (literally wet socks) when wearing this boot for only an hour or so in weather in the 50's. They don't seem to breathe very well and the liner is very cheap compared to Boggs. He does not have sweaty feet with any of his other shoes. We have many pairs of the Boggs Winter Waterproof Boots for my older son. His feet feet do not sweat, nor do the boots smell - even when wearing them in 70 degree weather. I also don't love the elevated heel on the Kamik's either. On the plus side, my 2 year old loves them and his feet have been dry - aside from the sweat!

Wir hatten schon öfter Kamik Gummistiefel und waren recht zufrieden, weil die was aushalten und sich die Sohle nicht abläuft. Im Matsch war der Halt auch gut. Das Kind hatte im Urlaub die Gummistiefel zu kurzen Hosen an. Was ich dann sah, geht gar nicht. Die Ränder der Gummistiefel haben beide Unterschenkel rundum blutig gerieben. Es waren eigentlich eher gerade Schnitte wie mit einem Messer. Nur waren die Schnitte noch breiter. Und die Stiefel hatte er gerade mal 30 Minuten an. Sowas geht gar nicht! Das Blut ist richtig die Beine runtergelaufen. Und im Sommer werde ich dem Kind bei über 30 Grad keine lange Hose anziehen. Alternativ habe ich meine Socken geopfert und den Fußteil abgeschnitten. Der Rest diente dann als Stulpen zum Schutz vor weiteren üblen Verletzungen. Bin stinksauer.

Ich bin leider sehr enttäuscht von diesem Gummistiefel und würde ihn, wenn das tatsächlich ein orginal Kamik-Produkt ist, nicht mehr kaufen geschweige denn empfehlen.
Die Größe des Stiefels fällt wie angegeben etwas klein aus, was durch die Bestellung einer größeren Schuhgröße nichts ausmacht.
Der Gummistiefel sitzt top! Trotz des hohen Spanns problemloses rein- und rausschlüpfen. Sicherer halt sogar beim Rennen.
Der Grund, weshalb ich den ansich tollen Stiefel aussortiert habe... auch nach Ausdünsten auf dem Balkon, Waschen und weiteren Tagen des Tragen s riecht dieser Schuh erheblich. Nach jedem Tragen habe ich die Füße meines Kindes waschen müssen, nicht weil sie nass waren, weil sie so stark nach dem verarbeiteten Material „gestunken“ haben, ebenso die Hosen und Socken.
Das möchte ich nicht am Körper eines Kindes wissen. Sehr bedenklich!

After buying so many 'cheap' rainboots this is it! I have found the perfect toddler rain boot. Other cheap rainboots crack and leak, after much research these came highly recommended and I got them yesterday you can tell the quality is amazing in comparison to walmart brand rainboots. And they are made in Canada, and part of a recycling program!

I will update if these end up cracking or leaking too, but no news is good news! Love these! Even bought a pair for myself! (mumma)

Excellent boots. Great tread, great fit, lightweight, comfortable on her foot and leg. They're neither too clunky or too wide, she can still run, scoot, climb etc. and they don't get in the way. They're not lined so they aren't perfect for super chilly rainy days, but they're roomy enough to accommodate thick socks and therefore perfect for spring and fall. Fast shipping, reasonable price and I didn't have the schlepp kids from one store to another to maybe possibly find boots. Online shopping for the win!
