This is my most recent purchase of camera lenses for my Sony A6000. I bought this hoping to put the f1.1 to the test. For reference, f1.1 is about as powerful as you can go for lenses. A low focal point results in a nice blurry background known as bokeh. I tried this lens out with both portrait and macro-landscape photography and it did not disappoint.ProsBest-in-class bokeh: This lens is a powerhouse when it comes to low focal points. It provided high-quality pictures with a crisp, blurry background and little to no distortion around the edges of the subject. This rivals similar lenses that I use, such as the Sigma 30mm and Rokinon 50mm.Compact: This lens is much smaller and more compact than any other lens I have. I attached a picture to understand size, but it is smaller than the shaker ball in my plastic water bottle. It is easy to switch in and out and does not take up a lot of space.Image quality: Aside from the bokeh and the low focal point, this lens did really well with macro landscape. 50mm is close and this lens is by noi means a wide-angle, but it was easy to use and picked up both subjects and background extremely well. I was happy with the picture quality on all of my pictures.Price: This lens is cheaper than any lens you will find on the market. It provides a lot of value for a fraction of the price of similar lenses. It's hard to find any other lens that packs this much punch for the price.ConsWeight: The lens is noticeably heavier than many of the other lenses I own. This isn't a huge knock against it given that we're talking about a couple ounces difference, but you can definitely tell there's a weight difference.Overall, I highly recommend this lens. It delivers high-quality results for a fraction of the price. It's a must have for any photographer.

First off, very high quality materials for the lens itself. However, the lens hood was kinda cheap
My main gripe is that the focus ring is a bit too small in my opinion, however the great thing about it is that the ring is a bit more difficult to turn, and especially at an aperture of 1.1 this is a huge benefit
People saying they can't get a shot in focus don't realize that a aperture of 1.1 is basically a few inches worth of depth of field.
For reference this picture was shot at full aperture. The bed behind the chair was about 2 feet away, the skateboard on the wall was about 6 or 7

I bought this for my MFT camera, this is my first manual lens. If you want to learn the operation of manual lens in photography it is a best lens. This is a situational lens... if every external elements and setting perfect it produces good pictures. Considering the price point you won't regret buying this lens. If the subject is between 2-6 feet you can take ok sharp images. Good for small subject with good background lights. It is definitely not an ultra share image lens but short of ok...it is not for professional portraits
