In 1997, Kanu Surf set out to build and sell better board shorts for Men, Women and Children.

Founded right in the heart of the Garment District in New York City, they first sold door-to-door to local surfers, mom and pop surf shops, and a few gift stores at local beaches. Great sun protection

I purchased this rash guard only for its sun protection properties. I have an upper body surgery coming up and cannot afford to have any skin damage on my chest area. But I also had a vacation planned that involved sun, sand and ocean. I had to have a solution.

This item arrived in time to head to the coast with me and it saved my skin. 4 days on the beach, on a stand up paddle board and during a Parasailing tour and this thing performed like a champ. When I visited my plastic surgeon upon return we was surprised to find out that I had spent 4 days in the sun and still had no burn or damage. It did exactly what I hoped it would do.

It fit as described. A quick hand wash each evening and then wring out and hang to dry and this was ready to go again the next day. I won't be taking beach or lake trips without it again.

Great value for the money.

Fits right, slightly see through, and just what I wanted

Fits as expected. I wear a medium/large top depending on the brand. for this, I purchased a large color coral. I measure 39" around my bust. I am 5'5". This shirt fits as I expect a large would fit. Loose enough to not squeeze on my mommy fat, but not so loose I'm swimming in fabric. Perhaps going with a medium would have been better for swimming purposes though, so it does cling more. Now, about the thickness of the fabric. Mine is a medium weight. My bikini top is red with white polka dots, and I can see the polka dot pattern through this rashguard. I don't think that a less obvious pattern or color would be visible through the fabric, but red with white polka dots is definitely visible through this.

The Perfect Rashguard!

I ordered this rashguard in hopes to meet these requirements: lightweight, relaxed fit, no lettering, fun color, adequate sun protection, & good value This rashguard delivers! The material feels lightweight, more like athletic-wear vs. a rashguard, which is a good thing in my opinion. It doesn't weigh down in water as a result.

The color (coral) is light but vibrant & came as pictured on my phone. Very pretty! It also has not bled any from swimming or washing, which is a huge bonus.

I found this rashguard to be true-to-size. I normally wear a small, which is what I ordered, & it fit perfectly! (I'm 5'5.5", 133 lbs, & 34A for sizing gauge.) It fits relaxed enough to be flattering & modest but not so loose it looks frumpy or flies up underwater.

No shoulder sunburn, lightweight, cute but modest, great value... What's not to love?! I will be getting some more for skin protection this summer (sensitive to sunscreen).

Passing Through

Affordable RashGuard, but too short.

I really like the color and the fit isn't too bad. It is just short. It does come close to how it fits on the model. I just prefer something a bit longer so that it doesn't raise up if I lift my arms. It is a thin material, so you definitely need a swim suit top of some sort underneath. There isn't a built in bra nor is it lined. I think it is true to size, but just too short for my liking. I ordered my normal size and it fit as expected in that way. It wasn't long enough to not raise up when lifting and moving my arms. So, I decided to buy a couple of longer ones on the Athleta site.

I do think this is an okay rash guard if you don't mind it being short and thin. The color is brighter in person which I love. I do love the fitted, but comfortable style of this rash guard. The price is affordable and I know one of my daughters will use it. I'm not sure I would buy this again unless they made the shirt longer. Then it would be a decent RashGuard.

The Rashguard arrived today and the XXL is the same size as a Large. The quality of the Rashguard is very light material so I hope it holds up this summer. The price was good so I ordered three, I guess you get what you pay for.

Fits perfect but looks transparent

I haven't used it in water yet but it looks transparent. I got this to use in the pool and in the water parks during summer. It looks like a cute t-shirt and it is long enough to cover the back. I got the S and I am 5'3" and 110 pounds. It will not ride up but is going to be clingy when wet.

I used it all summer in the pool. It did not lose color and it was not too clingy. It dried up fast when line dried.
