Great Deal!

Being a student who makes money from music gigs, money is not constant so I could not go out and buy myself a wacom drawing tablet. Thus, I had to find something that cost less yet worked. The Kanvus drawing pad blew my mind. Like a child opening presents I became quite excited when I saw that my package arrived and upon opening the box, instantly installed the software and began playing with my newest art toy. Drawing, writing, presenting, etc... everything worked wonderfully; much better than I had anticipated considering the price I paid. I can happily use it together with my Adobe Photoshop program and at the same time can use the programs that came with it for other uses. My mother even uses it for her powerpoint presentations to residents and other medical students (that is, when I let her take it). Overall an EXCELLENT buy for anyone on a budget who loves to draw and take notes and make presentations. Also great for kids to doodle with!

Only setback: at times other programs interfere with pen usage, so try not to have too much running at once.

As we speak, I am writing this with the tablet. l was wary at first, considering l had never heard of the brand and wasn't sure of the quality of Taiwan electronics, but this little thing is more than just a pretty face. my old tablet was nice, but l hadn't known real pressure sensitivity till now. It might not be thicker than a mousepad (it actually has the rubber backing that a mousepad does), and the writing input software might be a bit odd (how it got "tectonics" from something l wrote is beyond me), but otherwise it seems to be a quality product. of course, I've only had it for a few hours, so l can't speak to long-term use (which is why I'm giving it a 4). But otherwise I'm having a great time with it Plus, as a bonus, it had batteries included!

the fact that it can read my handwriting at all (normal cursive AND crappy printing) is proof enough to me.

Stopped Working Soon After Purchase

The tablet quit working very soon after I bought it, and the drivers weren't working after reinstalling either. Last I checked, it isn't available for purchase anymore, which is probably a good thing. It was decent when it did work, and was a good enough alternative to Wacom if you're on a very tight budget and don't care about hotkeys.

I bought the tablet to use with ZBrush and Photoshop and it works fine with them. The click pressure can be changed and the two buttons on the pen can be customized. It also includes three extra pen tips. The thing that bothers me about this tablet is that it's like a mouse pad with a plastic top and the place where it connects with the raised white thing seems weak, so I would be careful with it. This tablet also looks very similar to a different tablet made by VisTablet, VT PenPad 7.7-Inch Graphic Pen Tablet (Black). The measurements and pen seem to be the same so they could be the same physical tablet in a different color, but I'm not 100% sure. I posted a picture of it, so you can see the similarities.

I do some graphic design work on the side of my regular job and this pad is perfect for my needs. I am able to spin out quality work with this dandy little set. I was having trouble with the pen, but I figured out that the battery that was sent with it was mostly dead. Changed the battery and it works like a charm.

I do my graphic work on my Mac and they work together great. Just plug it in and go!

I bought this tablet based on price, but felt like I was taking a little risk because there was no review. This does exactly what it is supposed to do, and I have had no problems on my vista 64-bit laptop. I recomend this product to everyone who is interested in buying! The only downfall is there is no eraser, but that is not a big deal for me. Just use the eraser tool.

For some reason, the fact that this 'tablet' is floppy was not talked about a lot in the reviews or description. It IS floppy, about as floppy as a mousepad. This is like a mousepad with a stylus, which is kind of neat because Ive never heard of that, but it doesnt help with drawing at all. Using this is like drawing on a noodle.

I opened the box and hooked it up and instauled the software. Works wonderfully. I dont mind the battery in the pen. Seams relyable. No skips or jumps when useing. Great pressure responce for what drawing I do. 2 down sides. 1 is that the buttons on the pen seam to get in the way and are flakey when you use them. 2. No hot keys on the pad. If I had it to do all over again I might pay the extra to get one that has the hot keys. Love the function as a whole.
