From the Manufacturer
Karcher's K 2.20 electric pressure washer provides the ultimate in cleaning convenience: four wheels that allow it to follow you as you clean. This feature saves time by eliminating the need to constantly move the pressure washer while you clean. Simply give the K 2.20 a gentle tug and it rolls behind, following as you clean around vehicles, down a sidewalk or along home siding. The K 2.20 packs plenty of power for most cleaning projects around the home, delivering up to 30 times the pressure of a garden hose while using up to 80% less water. Attach the included Vario Power Spray (VPS) wand to easily clean a wide variety of surfaces. Simply dial up the right amount of pressure for the job. For more intense cleaning, attach our patented DirtBlaster spray wand, which increases the effective pressure by up to 50%. The trigger gun features a total stop function, meaning the motor only runs while your spray, reducing noise and power consumption. The trigger gun also includes a child safety lock. Karcher's K 2.20 is ideal for those who place a premium on convenient, easy cleaning. Its maintenance-free motor, German-engineered pump and four wheels combine to create a powerful cleaning tool that is enjoyable to use. Karcher recommends using the SoapPac line of detergents with the K 2.20. This model is also compatible with a wide variety of Karcher accessories, including the Deck and Driveway Cleaner, Rotating Wash Brush, Wheel Rim Brush and more. Karcher is the world's largest manufacturer of pressure washers and the #1 brand for commercial pressure washers. Headquartered in Germany, the company invests heavily in research and development, currently holding more than 350 patents. Technical Specs: 1500 PSI, 1.3 GPM, 35ft. Power Cord, 15ft. The Karcher cleans larger areas faster because of the spray wand and is so easy to move around because of the wheels and its light weight. I can wash places/areas that I couldn't before with the old pressure washer. Needless to say, the Karcher Pressure Washer gets my highest review rating.....because it deserves it.
This is a consumer-grade pressure washer and if you treat it properly, it should provide years of service. It is a lot lighter than our old unit, and it does not have the two-position wand (soap/spray) our old unit had, but the wands from the old unit fit the new one! It has a soap intake hose, but it is mounted at the bottom of the unit which is a little inconvenient.
The wheels are OK, but sometimes you want your pressure washer to sit still, like when using the soap attachment. You pull on the wand and it yanks the machine along and that tips over the soap!
ONE NOTE: I have had three Karcher machines over the last 25 years. They work well for home use (washing cars, gutters, siding) but are not commercial grade. The intake hose connection is plastic, and if you yank the washer by the hose, you will break this, as I did with my first Karcher. I was able to fix it, and I can tell you, I am more careful now with these machines.
For $99 it was cheap, and it is quieter than the gas-engine models. If you are starting a deck-washing business, this is not the model for you. If you want to wash a car, boat, or the vinyl siding or soffit on your house, this works great. Cosumer-grade for consumer-use and priced accordingly. With proper care, these will last more than a decade.
The weak part on our last model was the on/off switch. Be gentle with that as well! It did last over 10 years, though, and that model cost only $79 back in the day.
I also didn't want exhaust fumes getting into the house, so it had to be electric.
I also needed a unit that I could pull along as I worked on 35 yards of surface area.
This was the only electric pressure washer that came with wheels.
It's only rated at 1500 psi, but I took a chance on it.
It doesn't look like much, but so far, it's done everything that I've thrown at it.
It's a little bulldog!
1500 psi is perfect for cleaning painted railings, tile flooring, and even concrete driveways.
It removes the dirt and grime without fear of blowing the paint off the surface.
More pressure doesn't get it any cleaner, but risks damaging the surface you're cleaning.
1500 psi with Zep's pressure washing detergent worked great .
This little powerhouse worked so well, I ended up purchasing the foam gun, extension wand, and surface cleaner.
The dirt wand worked great on blasting mold and algae off my concrete driveway.
I discovered that a pressure washer is only as good as the attachments that are available for it.
A lot of other units have a limited amount of accessories available, and limit what you can do with it.
Karcher makes every possible conceivable attachment, and they twist and lock on easily and quickly.
I ran the unit hard; nonstop for 20-30 minutes at a time, with no issues.
As long as it holds up for years of use, I'll give it a 5 star rating for value and performance
