Worked well for a few hours...but that's it.

This worked well for about 2 hours, although as people have stated, you had to move slowly. Then, instead of cleaning a path as wide as the equipment, it started simple cleaning a narrow stream. It looked like a Spirograph creation. We fiddled with the arm by spinning it and got it to work for another couple hours. After that, it started the same flawed cleaning. We tried multiple times. We could get it to clean properly for 5 minutes and then it would return to the same narrow bands. We finally gave up. Our well pumps 8 gallons a minute at the well and 5 gallons a minute from the water hose -- minimum water PSI for the house is 42 and the pressure washer is 1900 PSI. I have attached a picture. I cannot recommend this product.

I used to clean concrete using the tiny nozzle on the electric power washer I have.

After seeing videos about surface cleaners, I decided to get one. Karcher, Made in Germany, not one of the many cheap ones, all identical and sold under tons of different names.

It works as designed and is a huge saver in time, not to mention that there is no more water spraying all over the place!

UPDATE 4/29/2019

The first unit purchased in 2017 worked during this year, was cleaned and stored.

It never worked in 2018 correctly, it never spun again, thus there was full pressure on both nozzles. Karcher was quick in sending a replacement.

The replacement worked during 2018, was cleaned and stored away.

It never worked this year, again, full pressure out of booth nozzles, but no spinning, thus the arm moves freely when moved by hand. No visible leakage anywhere.

Much faster cleaning with this device than with the turbo nozzle. It is not that you will move quick, actually it has to go pretty slow not to get the circles patterns but to let the jets got through all the surface but definitely much better now. i would say it took me 2h with the turbo nozzle doing half drive way and 45 minutes with this cleaner. Just the savings in water worth the investment.

The only issue I had is the ergonomics. I need to be bended forward since the gun is not designed to be so close to the ground and applying some pressure to avoid the cleaner to lift so I ended up with sore back.

This attachment works better than I expected with my Karcher K1700 Cube Pressure Washer. I thought I would use it for the deck to make washing a bit easier. It works great for that. I am also using it for deck furniture. I just set it on a table or chair and go. I've also used it sideways on some walls and such. The water pressure basically makes it float along so it is easy to use and control than other options. The manual says to go very slowly while using it, but I go much faster than it says and it still works great. The results are very even compared to using the spray wand where I sometimes get streaking if I'm not careful to overlap my strokes well. Highly recommend

This surface cleaner is paired with a Stanley SLP-2050 electric power washer, that puts out 1.4 GPM of flow and 2,000 psi of water pressure. Those spec's are exactly what the surface cleaner spec's said was right for best performance of the 8" head.

I had a previous motor driven power washer that had 3,000 psi and 4 GPM of flow, with an 15" head. Based on my positive experience with that set-up, it made sense that this 8" head would match-up with the power washer unit as described. The large washer/head set-up I had was fast and thorough. I sold the larger pressure washer unit because it was to large for the needs of the smaller home we purchased.

My issue is that this 8" head does not spin fast enough to give a streak free finish, even when moving the head across the driveway at a very slow snails pace. You can count the RPM's as the spray bar rotates. The 8" head has to be moved so slowly, that I can get four-times the area finished, in the same amount of time, using the 30 degree spray nozzle directly on the driveway, without the surface cleaner.

Stopped working after 5 minutes

If you look at the Karcher website, there seems to be a trend with this accessory.. tons of them seem to be breaking after only a few minutes of use. I have purchased this item twice (one was a replacement) and both of them broke after only ~10 mins of use. Both of them were being used as instructed with a compatible Karcher Pressure washer.
There is a serious quality issue and I would avoid buying this until its resolved

Ohhh pretty spirals.
And that's just about it...

After starting to use this on the first day and after two sidewalk squares. The system halted spinning.
I turned it off and checked to see if anything was obstructing the spray bars. Nope, nothing.
So I took the wand and checked it did see if it was plugged, nope worked fine...
So, back to using a 30° nozzle and a rolling stool to take care of the simple task that this should have been able to accomplish...

The product is made of quality materials and still kept light weight. The issue I have is that you have to really focus when using this surface cleaner to keep it horizontal to the surface that you are cleaning. The brush skirt is more to keep the debris and water contained. It does not become a hover craft that automatically floats over the surface. The brush grabs the ground when it accidentally touches it and lets out the blasted material & water if the unit is tilted even a little. My 25 yo daughter thought that it was a cool tool until she tried it. She said that it was a hassle to put so much energy into keeping it level and gave up on using it. So much for trying to trick her into cleaning the driveway. I would have probably given it 5 stars if it had wheels or a skid plat to keep the unit a proper distance from the ground.

In the first 20 min, it worked well, and then the arm with 2 nozzle on it started spinning slow, and finally stopped. the symptom was just like other's description, it was drawing circles on the ground (when the arm spinning slow). Tried to lucubrate， same thing. Ordered the 2nd, did the same thing as the 1st one. then tried a similar product from a different brand, worked fined, so it was not my pressure washer, but the poor design of the product. not sure why the reviews on Amazon.com are pretty good. maybe Karcher is selling a different version in Canada ? Amazon's exchange/return policy is awesome, got no problem on exchanging and refund at the end.

The product itself is good does the job. I recommend to damp the surface you will be cleaning first in order for the Surface Cleaner to "glide/slide" instead of you having to do a push/pull. It's definitely faster than the conventional way. If you ever used a sprayer it's the same motion overlap each row in order to have a consistent scrub.

I highly recommend to get an extension wand. I found out that for me being 5' 10" I had to bend a little a 24" or 30" extension would be helpful.

I purchase one from a hardware store and started to use it. Within an hour it stopped working. I returned it thinking I had a bad unit. The store had no more in stock and they refunded the purchase price.
I purchased a second one through Amazon.ca. I started using it to clean my flat concrete driveway. Within 50 minutes it too stopped working.
I disconnected the unit from my pressure washer and cleaned the two spray nozzles and checked the spray arm. Nothing was blocked? Tried to use the unit again, but it did not work.
It is a waste of time, money and effort to purchase, start to use, then have to return a non-functional product.
In my experience, with these two Karcher Hard Surface Cleaners, they are not a well designed quality product.
I do not recommend this product.

It worked and only did half the driveway then seem to lose pressure So only half got clean. Had to clean it with a pressure washer head. Would not buy it again. The first one we had fit our old pressure washer, thought we could use that one. They don,t make these heads inturn changeable?
