Blog postThis month I have a theme. Can you see what it is?
It came about because of the first two books. They had a similar name. I remembered another one in which I’d read the first of the series, but not the second.
He’s With The Band, I randomly chose off Amazon because I love the theme.
As in any family, you’ll find one that doesn’t conform!
I’d love to know what books you are reading in July. Is there a theme that particularly attracts you, and when you see it, yo6 hours ago Read more -
Blog postOnly four read this month, but Ignite was huge at over 500 words and took almost two weeks to get through.
Ignite was second book of a series, and I loved it. The story was well written, exciting, and pulls at your emotions.
Review of Ignite A Scream in the Night, frustrated me a little at the beginning, but I warmed to it and will read the next one when it comes out.

Blog postKaren’s Review This has been such an enjoyable series. Belle and the Pirate is number four of this six book set.
Belle is a tiny fairy, no bigger than a thumb. We already know her because she has appeared in previous books as Tinkerbell, a little sprite.
Apart from the beautiful prose, and pretty formatting there were many other things I enjoyed about this story. One was how names from our favourite tales, Blackbeard, Peter Pan, and Captain Hook, all appeared. They were diffe3 days ago Read more -

My dream to visit the romantic city of Paris came true when we took our dog on a road trip to visit friends living on the outskirts of the city. Paris, and the surrounding area, was everything I imagined it to be and more. Our friends kindly took the time to show us around this fabulous city as well as Monet’s gardens in Giverny and the amazing Palac1 week ago Read more -

Blog postIn 1988, a pub landlord killed a twenty two year old woman. He was caught not long after and sentenced to life in prison. He died this month, and never revealed where he buried her body. You can read about it here.
This made me think of my grandfather, whom we called ‘Papa’. He was born in 1904 in Oswestry, and brought up by his aunt, while his mother worked.
He never knew who his father was, and it was a stigma all his life. On his mother’s death bed, he pleaded with her to r1 week ago Read more -

Recently I have been making birthday cards as it’s a lot cheaper and more personal than buying them. These are the ones I have made recently, but now will turn my attention to Christmas. I’ll also write them as I go along, and fo1 week ago Read more -
