About Karen Petersen
Karen is a fifty something woman with a diverse background, including training, non-profit projects, entrepreneurial ventures, and digital marketing.
She studied at Johannesburg College of Education, Gordon's Institute of Business Science, and Blue Magnet Digital Academy. She is currently a Board Member of the Pakistan Social Media Forum and founder of Network Explosion, a social media marketing company.
Her passions include writing, travel, scooters, plant-based cooking, and living life fully.
She is married to Tracey and lives in Johannesburg with a dream to have a home beside the sea. One of her favourite pastimes is spending time with their modern, blended family and faithful furry companion, Spike.

A spiritual experience during college caused her to throw herself into the church. After starting a church in KwaZulu Natal, she struggled to fit into the role of the pastor's wife. All sorts s of chaos ensued when she fell in love with a woman. Through her natural optimism she came out of the dark tunnels to find reconciliation, contentment and peace.
