The only down side is user error... I have to be careful where I aim as I have ended up putting peanut butter on my dog's head a number of times :)
Edited to add: I removed the screws from the handle and took the product apart, then put it back together. Somehow that did the trick and the clicker now works. However, the button has to be pressed at just the right angle and with just the right amount of force for it to immediately click. I definitely would not re-purchase this item and advise consumers to beware.
My cats will high five the target or my hand now because they know that they get a click and treat as a result. I never thought I could get my cats to engage with such focus until I got this combination clicker and target.

Good quality and loud click. This is a great tool to help me with training my cat.Published 2 days ago by Lostie4ever
Lasted only 3 months then it came apart, even though I was super careful. It
but the metal part that retracts came apart at the connecting joins. Vary disappointed.
This is the second one I got and it broke pretty easily too. I was very gentle with it so I'm not sure why. The extending poles keep detaching from the base. Read morePublished 9 days ago by S. Koenig
Great for teaching tricks! The clicker is not very loud, but working with a target stick means you are probably close to your dog anyway.Published 1 month ago by Book Worm
It was a lot of fun to teach my dog to target this stick and it's very useful.Published 1 month ago by Margee
Purchased this for the behavior dept of the SPCA. Works great with cats and dogs.Published 1 month ago by Wendy Hirschman
Works great. I love that I can use it as a clicker and as a pointer. The volume of the clicker is sufficient and it's not too bulky or difficult to work with. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Miss Michelle
