If you happened to catch any of those shows then you will be familiar with the set list as well as the amazing light show and back lit LED screen that the band used for the tour. Staring off with "Days are Forgotten" which begins with all the band on the stage with the exception of lead singer Tom Meighan who sings into a camera behind the stage and a 3D digitalised image of Meighan singing is transported over the stage. The band tear through tracks from all 4 studio albums and just as they bring the pace down around the half way mark they kick into "Club Foot" which sends the O2 into pandemonium.
There is a rousing rendition of L.S.F to close the main set before they return with a fantastic triple onslaught of tracks beginning with the electro heavy "Switchblade Smiles" with its heavy beats and industrial sounding guitars and big sounding bass, it's bold and brave but they pull it off brilliantly. "Vlad The impaler" is then followed by the nine minute long sing along "Fire". It's safe to say the crowd go home happy.
Also included is a half hour documentary that follows Kasabian on their U.K and Ireland tour as well as a look at the coming together of the big production that the band wanted for this tour.Read more ›
I was not the biggest fan of Velociraptor when it dropped, but after thorough listening and seeing this show live in blu-Ray, it makes sense. Quite simply as Serge puts it, "futuristic rock". A lot from Velociraptor with plenty of previous album material. Check the closing of fire, Tom absolutely goes manic slamming the mic down...epic.
If it's still $11.99 and your any level of fan, do yourself a favor and get one on the way before they smarten up and charge more.
