About Katharina Manassis
Dr. Katharina Manassis is a recently retired Child Psychiatrist and Professor Emerita in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She led a clinical-research program in childhood anxiety disorders for over 20 years at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, where she taught numerous students and published over 90 papers in professional journals. She has written 6 mental health related books for parents and professionals including the Canadian bestseller "Keys to Parenting Your Anxious Child" and her most recent work "Developing Empathy: A Biopsychosocial Approach to Developing Compassion for Parents and Therapists."
