Katherine (Kate) adores genre fiction: mystery, fantasy, a little bit of horror, and most especially romance in its many forms from paperbacks to manga (shojo and yaoi).
Her fantasy series, The Roesia Chronicles, combines elements from all genres. Book One, Aubrey: Remnants of Transformation, tackles a young woman's adventure in magic on the eve of her introduction as a debutante. The sequel to Aubrey--Richard: The Ethics of Affection--tackles a romantic adventure of disguises in the life of Aubrey's brother.
The third book, Lord Simon: The Dispossession of Hannah, is a ghost story; this story tackles the life's work of a recurring--and somewhat sinister character--from the previous novellas.
The latest addition to the Roesia Chronicles is Tales of a Quest which chronicles the adventures of desperate princes, strong-willed princesses, and romantic beasts. Will a particular quest end romantically? Or not?
The Roesia Chronicles take place in an alternate universe that pays tribute to nineteenth-century England. In preparation, Katherine created a homage to two seminal Jane Austen novels in her novellas, A Man of Few Words (Pride & Prejudice) and Persuadable (Persuasion).
Katherine has also written Mr. B Speaks! another look at Samuel Richardson's Pamela.
